New TV show: Yellowstone

Beth's character is something else. One of her lines a few episode's ago that made my wife and I crack up "I hope you get ass cancer"
 
I have to complain. I managed to binge the first 3 seasons for free during some kind of re-cap promo for the show about three months back. Now, Prime was offering $1/month for two months promo for Paramount+ streaming. I signed up to catch the 4th season...but it's not on Paramount, it's on Peacock. WTF.

Correct
It was billed as it would be on Paramount Plus, only reason I signed up for Paramount Plus..

Turns out Taylor Sheridan, creator, writer and drive tot of most episodes of Yellow Stone has 2 other shows on Paramount- 1883, and Mayor of Kingstown.

Yeah, discovered that and consumed that content already. It was a bittersweet exchange, I guess. I think I may actually like the 1883 show a little more.

I found a thumb drive that must have fallen from a truck with all 4 seasons. Wife and I enjoy the show. Midway through season 3. I like finding out about a show after a few years have past. That way if it's hood, I can indulge myself in it for a few weeks. Otherwise if I don't like it, I didn't miss anything.

I would watch the new Ozarks, but I promised my wife we'd finish YS before I start that.

We never watched breaking bad when it was on TV. But then watched it when it was done. Much better than waiting 7 years.
 
So since s4, I have cancelled our directv. Kinda waiting last minute sure, but will season 5 be on paramount+ tonight?

It will be on the paramount channel on the TV at 8pm tonight
 
Seems like all of season 4 is free to stream today on Sling.

Which makes zero sense, especially considering 1883 & 1923 are both P+ shows. 🙄
 
I think I may have found a work around, using in laws directv login on the app, then maybe hdmi adapter from phone to tv
 
Interesting premiere. Surely Beth will be heavily colliding with Atwood from Market Equities, Jamie's loyalty will be fighting against his hatred of his sister, and Angela Blue Thunder is going to create major problems for Rainwater. I'm not sure what Kayce's story arc is going to be this season, though.
 
Interview from over the summer. Nothing too major revealed, but kinda near to watch.

And if you have never heard Kelly (Beth) interviewed before, it’s worth a watch. 🤣

 
I really hope there's more to Jamie's character this season than they're making it out to be thus far. You would think that he's smart/cautious enough to realize he's being duped, and maybe he's playing Atwood rather than the other way around. I hope they make something more out of Clara (the assistant) as well - she seems to be enjoying the change of pace, and I feel like she's getting enough airtime that her character won't be inconsequential.
 
For anybody that might have the Paramount channel and doesn’t have a paid Peacock subscription…

The entire series of Yellowstone is being shown starting on 12/28. I believe it starts at noon, and runs through either 12/31 or 1/1.

Wife started Wednesday evening and watched the first two episodes. We were gone most of Thursday. She’s starting S4:E2 now. 😳

I’ve sat here and watched a good bit of them with her. S5 midseason finale is tomorrow night. Not sure she’ll be caught up by then, but I’ll hold off on watching it until she’s there.
