Last September I bought two 3x9-40 buckmaster scopes. Natchez was blowing out reconditioned models for $79, these scopes were usually $119.
One of them got put on top of a 100 yard AR10. It maybe had 250 rounds through it when recently an o-ring around the objective lens was coming out. First problem I've ever had with a Nikon scope.
Natchez and Nikon made it clear that there was only a 90 day warranty on these reconditioned models. So I go through Nikon's online RMA setup and send it in, wondering how much it was gonna cost to fix it. About a week later I get a letter telling me to go to the website and approve or decline the repair cost.
So I do, and the repair cost is listed at $0.
They tuned it up, cleaned it all up, and repaired that o-ring for free, and had it back to me, (from California) within 2 weeks from when I sent it in.
That was pretty good. I'm impressed with that.
