Heck no. M1's and M14's in walnut are the most gorgeous firearms ever made, IMO.

FN Commercial Mauser action built into a 25-06 rifle sometime in the 60's best I can tell. Canjar single set trigger (You haven't lived until you've tried one) and a Unertl Varmint scope. Currently sporting a 10x eyepiece but I own a 20x for it as well. Amazingly clear glass for its age!
