Looking at the SKO mini

The Kalishkanov Komrade

And the Mossberg Shockwave

Which one do you choose?

What is the difference between the SKO Shorty & Mini?

I've got a Turkesium VRF14 and it's an absolute hoot. Even eats birdshot no problem.

I have a woody for the Remington.....

saw an escort bulltac the other day and i didn't hate it. it was like somebody remade the ks7 with more metal

Depends on what you want it for. If you want a reliable gun you could trust in a bad situation, get the Mossy. If you just want a toy and don't care if its reliable, get one of the IOQRs (Imports of Questionable Reputation).

For me it would be the Shockwave all day. I've been kicking around the idea of picking one up as an easy sbs option for some time now.

I'm just grumpy that I didn't buy one when they were like $250, now they're like 2x the price.

The AOW versions are still cheap, but you gotta put in the year for a $5 transfer stamp. then form 1 it...
Or you could buy a used 500, then form 1 it, buy a 14" barrel, and all the associated hardware for the conversion (and mossberg doesn't like selling that)

Looks like a shorter barrel. This is still one of my favorite ad videos

It just needs to be said…

There’s no such thing as a non-NFA short-barreled shotgun. There are non-NFA firearms that shoot shotshells, but they’re not, by definition, shotguns. ETA: They transfer as Other Firearms on a 4473, not Long Guns. 🤓

That being said…this is the way to go:

15+1 rounds of .410 in an AR platform. Barrel was just over 12” to keep it at least 26” OAL (ETA: has to be measured with brace removed). That’s not mine, but it was the pic that might’ve caused me to build my own. 😎

I also have a Mossberg AOW. It’s a Shockwave before they were called Shockwaves. The $5 red stamp allows me to swap to whatever non-stock grip I want and not worry if it measures <26” overall.
