What's the HOT non suppressor host comp for 556 replacing the A2 FH these days? Thinking about changing the RDB FH from A2 to something else...

VG6, SureFire Pro comp, PWS FS556. Any of those will work, with the SureFire being the cheapest (bout 50 bucks) to the PWS being the most expensive (bout 100).

I've got a DD Gen II Muzzle Climb Mitigator I'll sell you for $60 shipped.

I've had great success with the PWS pieces for both 5.56 and 300BLK. If you're going to put the comp on the rifle and leave it alone, these really are the bees knees.

Smith Enterprise Vortex is always a good way to go, YHM Phantoms are good to go, Troy Industries makes some good ones too

Get the VG6 Epsilon. They were on sale for like 35$ the other day.
Comp, brake, and flash hider.

The VG6 Epsilon=Best bang for the buck under $100 IMO. I got mine for $40 shipped the other day and tested it. It's definitely going to live on my favorite rifle from now on. I've used alot of 2-chamber brakes and the Epsilon works as well but with flash reduction it's awesome.

If you're gonna spend over $100 look at Precision Armament EFAB

btw Jeremy over at TTAG has a comprehensive muzzle device testing series complete with videos that's worth looking at if you want to get the most for your money

I have a SI Checkmate on a pretty light 14.5" gun, and a PWS FSC 556 on a heavy 18" it might not be the muzzle device, but that 14.5 is one of the softest shooting ARs I have ever felt. Apparently loud.

A couple of the SI comps work really well and are affordable.
