stepped on a big ol piece of glass. Ended up at the ER. He done great from start to finish.

did a conscious sedation, freaky mess.

Just a rite of passage. My brother did the same thing once before a beach trip. It was amazing what the salt water did for this cut. Had stiches also.

He’ll be fine. ~5yo I stepped on a broken bottom of a coke bottle, dern near took my big toe off. 6 mo later I couldn’t tell the difference.

He’ll miss healing rapidly.

little fella is doing just fine. Though being a little dramatic about a thing or 2 but he’s doing great.

Told the nurses he’s giving me a run for my money on how many hospital visits.

but for now I hold the record of number of stitches for now. He’s got 7 currently, I had 24 at one point due to cutting cut by a barb wired fence.

Although I don't have kids I learned a long time ago that their tougher than most think, if you'll just give them a chance to be tough. Usually kids that gravitate toward their Dad's are tougher than the one's that hang onto Mommy. Not definitive but just an observation...

Thanks again everyone. Yea he was upset he didn’t get to go down the water slide yesterday, but I’ll be making it up to him when I get them again next week.

One thing I’ve learned is acknowledge the incident but don’t coddle them. Comfort them yes, but let them know Ittle be fine and roll on. Has worked great for us doing that.

I meant to say, not one time from the time the cut happened to they put him under did he say dad it hurts and cry about it.
