A shooting question.

My last few range trips with my handguns, I have been shooting low about 4" at 15ish yards. It started with the Charter Arms 44 Special, then the SCCY and now the Walther PPQ. I just had the sights on the PPQ changed to TruGlo but they are suppose to be the same height as the one that came on the gun. The 2" barrels were closer to POI then the others.
I started thinking about what I was doing and it has been the same thing for years. Then I started thinking about the targets and that might be where things have changed. I used to use 4' pieces of wood to staple the cardboard and targets to and now they are a 3 1/2'. Could the lower center mass aim change my shot that much?
All shots are grouped together and dead center just low.

When you say low 4" are we talking about a tight group? Or a spread out group? When I say tight I am talking about less then 4" is diameter. Or are you shooting a long looking vertical string of shots?

JBoyete, I am not shooting for really tight groups but everything is within a 2" circle 6:00 below the bullseye where I am aiming. I could never shoot a 1" circle without a rest. If I had an "A-ZONE" target, the its would be at the bottom of the A-ZONE when I am aiming at dead center

it's funny, because i was just shooting my ppq with tritium sights (i forget which brand - mepro?) and every shot was going high. at about 25 yards I'd guess they were 3-4" high. or maybe my shooting just sucked that day. either way, had to do 6o'clock hold pretty low on an 8" steel to make it ring.

So the group is tight, that means marksmanship is not the issue. A sight adjustment is needed. With that you have two options.

1. Adjust the sights
2. Notice the point of impact in relation to the sight picture you use
2a. offset (hold over) the difference.

I like 2 and 2a my self.
