I'm thinking about one. Has to have 8 cylinders, and three pedals. Other than that I am flexible.

If you have one let me know your thoughts.

It's close enough to Friday. May the bickering begin.

Don't know about the new ones, but it sounds like something I'd like!

My sweetie's got a 2011 model, 6 cyl, manual, 306 HP, goes as fast as you tell it to, 29mpg on hwy. It's been a great car.

I am disturbed that it appears that to get leather seats you have to step up to the GT Premium from the GT, which means several thousand dollars worth of jimcracks I don't want, just to get leather.

Ain't yer hide leather-like enough by now that you don't need it on the seats? :)
I actually have enjoyed cloth seats in some recent vehicles I've owned since the US auto industry got over its 1980's fixation with velcro, I mean, velour seats that are hard to get in and out of.

That said, I didn't find the fabric in the new Mustangs very appealing. There is, however, an ARREST ME RED 2017 GT six speed with everything I need and nothing I don't for sale/sell/sail/cell about 6 miles from the house.

No Ecoboost?
Turbos, the ultimate in easy power gains (and sort of cheap, too)

My buddy, that buys new Fords every time the moon changes, says if you can find the right person you can order anything that you want. Most salesmen don't want or know how to do it. He has found his guy and has ordered an Explorer, a Mustang, F-150, all with weird options or options deleted. This past Sunday I saw roll up windows on a new vehicle and I hadn't seen those in a long time.

They did tell me without arm twisting that it wasn't very hard to order it however I want it. About a month lead time. Might make more sense when the 2018's come out. I don't know.

@filedgrade...just buy a GT and then get Katskin leather put in. Prob save you a ton of dough if you just want leather seats!

I can send you the number of a guy that runs our for dealership. They are sister company's with capital Ford I think. He can usually find anything new.

And you're sittin' here typing?! :)
cloth seats. the one hang up.

I still haven't completely embraced the idea of buying a new hot rod that will depreciate versus spending $32K on an old car that won't lose value. Only trouble is, to buy a 67-68 fastback these days has gotten out of hand. $40-50K now.

If it was an 8-12 cylinder then I'd be all in.

The V8 sounds great, and those new mustangs look GREAT!...but if I were in the market for a Mustang, which Im not, I'd be looking at the turbo model.
That plus a few hundred bucks and she'd really be moving!

His latest, an F-150, single cab, with the Mustang GT motor, roll up windows, vinyl mat in the floor, 3.55 gears, they told him 6-8 weeks, it took 4 weeks.

I know the guy who runs the show there, he'll cut you an even sweeter deal, c'mon down to Wilmington.
You in Wilmington Murphy??
That's not too far from my house..Lol.

I was looking at the Carfax. Looks like it was sold new in FL late 2015, ended up on another lot in Florida for sale a year and a half later, then auctioned, and ended up in Wilmington two months ago at this lot. Hmmm...

Some folks dont hang on to cars very long.

This one looks like a creampuff, but when one goes to auction due to no interest with low mileage like this I have to wonder...

...and 435hp from the factory isn't too shabby. My first tune brought me to 409rwhp.
Not only do they look good, but they are all that.

I love the body style from 2016 +, in addition to the performance.

Two dramatically different options/directions for sure (and the 67-68 Fastback isn't going to depreciate--which isn't the case for a newer 'Stang).

My experience suggests $40 to $50k will buy you one heck of a late 60s Mustang Fastback (you should be able to pick up a nice specimen for much less than this--unless you're going after a 428 CJ or more rare variety).

There's a red collector grade '65 A code 4 speed fastback in Apex for $44K. I just can't seem to get over the premium one pays for a fastback, which I really prefer. It has been available a month, and is probably a fair price based on my feeble research, although it is nearly a trailer queen. The notch back coupes are available all over the place for $20k and don't seem to sell very well at all.

The classics never go out of style, if youve got the funds, and the want, go for the 60s era.

I think the new mustang looks fantastic...but the first gen mustangs...WHOOOOO those have always been a dream car for me.
