I will be there on Friday. We are going to camp at Stone Mountain and commute into Atlanta. Need to find a way to use public transportation due to traffic in the city. Since I am a Training Counselor, I like to go and get the latest Training info from John Howard and group.

Roped 2 others into going with me. We're driving down on Thursday afternoon, plan to be there Friday and half of Saturday then drive home Saturday night. Managed to score a hotel in walking distance of the convention so if parking sucks we'll be able to avoid it.

Only thing we haven't figured out is who's sleeping on the floor.
 
Was considering it, but Im gonna go home later this year and shoot a USPSA major near my parents place instead.

More like a showcase like SHOT, but has more of a rights driven feeling
 
I am planing on being there on Friday and Saturday. Called my daughter to make reservations for the weekend. Would like to meet up with you that are going.
 
I think I'm going to be there with Iraqveteran8888 & some of the other YouTube guys & gals.
 
I think that we need to get a CFF hat so we can recognize each other but I have a problem.

Tigard and I will be there.

Fortunately our youngest and spouse live close by, so no hotel/motel or commute/transport issues.
 
My daughter lives in Dunwoody so I will be taking the Metro or Uber down there.
 
My son lives in Atlanta also so won't need a room. But I may be staying at Iraqveterans farm as he mentioned having a shoot.

I will be there on Saturday and maybe Sunday.
I will be wearing a black t-shirt from Nine Lines Apparel. The back of the shirt an American Flag(red white and blue) with the logo that says "You stomp my Flag, I will Stomp your Ass!. If I can get a Nine line Hat that fits, I will try to get KnothRight put on it.

I got mine, it had a holder with a Midway coupon in it and then a generic "Atlanta 2017" square postcard that fit in the holder but didn't have my name on it or anything specific.

@Johnboy What's the "admission badge" look like? Does it have your name on it?
 
No on the back of the generic Black NRA Atlanta 17 it says it is the badge is good for admittance to the exhibit hall all three days of the show and must be worn at all times. It is a far cry from the SHOT SHOW badge.

Ah yea, it says that right there in the fine print.

The phone app is pretty cool, so I figured they were on the stick with this stuff. I was expecting some sort of badge with my name on it and a QR code that vendors could scan to get my address and spam me with stuff. That's the norm at work related trade shows, was hoping to get some fun spam for a change.
 
Got a charge on my credit card for the first night's room today so that's a good sign that they have a room for us and we won't be sleeping in the car.

If anybody need a couple extra tickets, I have 4 extra. They came in today. Not sure how to get them to you in time or can bring them to Atlanta. I hope to be at the convention early Saturday.
 
FYI, it is legal to carry on Marta and in the convention if you have a CWP in as state that has reciprocal agreement with GA. The only exception is the Leadership forum where Trump is going to be.

They said yes in the convention, but no in the surrounding areas (food court, etc). Haven't looked up what the penalty is yet, I'm sure someone will wander into a gun free zone at some point if they're being douches about it.
 
I'll be there Saturday. Headed to Atlanta today for a night at the joints!

Just left the convention. Must have walked 10 miles. Lots of people and did not know one person. Marta transportation was packed out the door.

Very enjoyable but really did not see anything new. I never knew there were so many AR builders out there. Stopped by the Rossi table and asked about the Model 92 in 357 and was told by September they should have some in the states.
 
Just got home myself, spent 1.5 days there walking... walking.... walking.

Estimates are 80k people in there? I can believe that from the lines at the lunch carts. :)

All those people, no bag searches, no pat downs, no metal detectors... and no problems. Funny how that works.
