Well, since he is an immigrant, the jury in NY will probably find him guilty of only shooting off firecrackers in the city. Kinda like the illegal that shot the lady in SF and got a slap on the wrist....again.

Funny how that seems to work. They are always watching, or interviewed, or knew of most of these guys and/or their associates. But they can't seem to stop them before hand. Well, at least we can ID them quick. Sometimes.

With that performance, he was probably pretty small time. I'm sure he's been on the radar at some point but he seemed a minimal threat and therefore wasn't really closely watched.

I'm sure we wouldn't believe how many of these people are out there that have tripped some trigger to make them be a watched item but they fall in that gray area.

The Bangladeshi national behind Monday's unsuccessful terrorist attack in New York City told investigators that he plotted the bombing as revenge for recent Israeli actions against Palestinians in the Gaza strip.

Suspect Akayed Ullah, 27, was seriously injured around 7:20am when a pipe bomb strapped to his body malfunctioned and prematurely exploded as he walked through a busy Midtown Manhattan subway station.

Authorities say the homemade explosive only partially exploded and that if it had detonated as intended, there would have been more injuries and doubtless loss of life.

The crude device was made from a pipe, a 9-volt battery, match heads, sugar, Christmas tree lights and screws, senior law enforcement officials told the New York Post.
 
NYPD has extensive counter terrorism unit, almost as good as FBI, huge budget and staff.
Cameras and shot spotter system. London has more cams then NYPD.
 
This moron had the chance of a lifetime to even be in the USA. He had countless opportunities to better himself,
education at little or no cost, instead he decides to build an IED.

They need to take him to someplace dark and torture him for the rest of his pathetic life.

DeBlasio and every news outlet, including Fox, all say; Attempted terrorist attack/ failed terrorist attack/ unsuccessful terrorist attack.
It was none of those. It was entirely successful. Terrorist's terrorize...and Bangladeshi Bob did just that. He scared the beejeezus out of an entire city and has the whole country talking about terrorist's.
Whether the bomb goes off or not means only if the ice cream had a cherry on top or it didn't.

So an interesting point between this incident and the Vegas mass shooting; within 24hours we have surveillance video of this incident yet 10 weeks later we have only seen videos from peoples cell phones.... ;)
