October 27th 2019 and its 82 degrees

Thought we turned the corner on fall after 97 degree mid October temps. Maybe we are skipping fall completely this year. Clover is coming up nicely and mosquitos are out in force. Not normal in western NC.

Thank goodness we got another nice rain last night. My weeds are coming back.

I bought an Inferno Torch to burn the weeds today. It's amazing how 3 drops of rain can make them sprout.

We had several Old men here today. None could remember an October without a frost...til now.

I always remembered marking the following once I moved to Wake County in 1979:

First frost around Nov 1
Most leaves down around Dec 1
