My wife's Toyota Avalon is accumulating water in the floor of the cabin, specifically in the well of the right rear passenger seat. It has been wet for some time and shows no sign of drying out. There is no indication of where the water is coming from - nowhere else is wet. She filled three bath towels full of water and the carpet is still spongy wet in the well. I've pretty much ruled out a spill, but I can not find any evidence of the source; I've checked the sun roof seal, the window seals, the door seals, the trunk area - no other signs of moisture anywhere.

Ideas?

Any drains stopped up maybe around trunk lid or sun roof, doors?
That's probably the first place I would check is the sunroof drains. If they are plugged, water can come out in weird spots. We had a GMC Acadia years ago that was terrible for stopped up sunroof drains.

Stopped up sunroof drains are common as is the vinyl tubing shrinking and pulling out of the drain outlets. I worked on Acuras and Hondas for 30 years, but cannot begin to tell you were the drains are on a Toyota.
