I know that one contract would have taken care of the ALL contracts on the greatest team ever ... the ‘72 Dolphins or the ‘74 or ‘75 Steelers. It might have taken care of a big chunk of another good team the ‘86 Bears also. When did some idiot throwing or catching a ball, running or tackling another guy, etc become so damn valuable? Same goes for basketball, baseball, etc. I even throw in actors, musicians and so on.

The rest of us will work the next five years and make far far less...than what he makes in a month. Before endorsements.

Ditto. Pro sports are near enough to a true free market as we have in this country.

The NFL is somewhat unique though in that a contract isn't really a contract, the owners can tear it up at any time.
 
Well, it would be a real free market if we weren't paying for all their stadiums.
