Can't wait to see my old friend the desert again! TSA agent looked into my gun case and became intensely curious about my occupation and purpose for traveling, it was pretty funny.

Interested as in an honest "interested" way or interested in "holy f*ck what am I gonna do" way?

I had a recent encounter with a local VA LEO. Nothing bad. Of course, the old "do you have any weapons in the vehicle" question came up and I said "Of course". (No, VA is not a "must inform" state.)

He asked me what kind of weapon and where it was and I said "a handgun, and it's right down there (pointing to the floorboard). Here's my concealed carry permit."

Know what he did? He said "OK, thank you very much. I'll be right back." Then he walked off with my DL and permit in hand, then came back about two minutes later and handed them back and said "Have a nice day, Mr. Moss!"

Honest interest I think...

Mind you, I travel with a folding-stock M110/SR-25 knockoff w/ suppressor attached. When they get to that layer of the Pelican case their eyebrows usually raise anyways, but this guy also has a 308 AR and I think he knew what he was looking at, but didn't know what I'm doing with it.
