Post pics of your boats in action, specs, what you love about them, what you don't, etc.

Here's mine:

Well, I don't have one yet, but I've been looking at 22'/23' center consoles. Holy sheet are they expensive!

Post them up!

LoL my low speed in neighborhood beach fishing outfit. Backs and manuevers great, hauls the whole crew. 2019 198 DLV Carolina Skiff, been at the coast for over a week, back to work and the real world tommorow.

2006 Carolina skiff 218 DLV. Factory wiring sucks, but I’ve been piecing some parts together to work on rewiring it.

I've got three of them. All of them projects at the moment.

Tidecraft Wildfire fishing boat. This pic isn't mine but the one I have looks just like it.
I'm getting an alarm right after startup. Can't be over temp as it happens immediately. Can't be low oil. I've tested that already.
I'm going to spend one more day trying to figure it out and then it's going to the boat shop.

And I have my father-in-laws old MFG runabout boat that needs reconditioning. Looks like this but without the lights. I'll get to it eventually.

Those outboard were about as big as they came back then. You needed two to power a good size boat.

Wait.. you tow that thing with a sidekick??

Holy hell! No real judgement here. I get it. Your on the nice, flat coast.

It's just WOW to me here in the mountains, because that lil fella would be ass over tea kettle the first time I had to stop suddenly going down a mountain lol. Plus the abuse of it pulling that sexy boat up said mountain in the first place:eek::D

Here is our boat, Cool Breeze II

What is that? Resembles a Cruisers 455 Express Motor Yacht. Can't make out the badge on the side. Might be a Sea Ray. Wife and I are going to retire on the intracoastal and will be looking for something like that. Beautiful yacht.

Its a 480 Sea Ray Motoryacht...... 50.5 total and 15.5 beam........ Aft and forward cabins, and mid stateroom as well. Extremely roomy for a 50 ft boat. Upper helm is mostly enclosed and air con/heat as well. Very comfortable boat.

This was the B&M Navy.... at this point we had the two boats, Cool Breeze 1 and 2, same dock...........

Here’s Ol’ Trash Money. Old school Gheenoe with a 10hp 2 stroke Mercury, will run about 25mph with a 300lb man in it and still stable enough for me to stand and fly fish out of. I’ll be redoing the front and rear casting decks this winter. Previous owner used particle board and tried to seal it thinking it would be as good as marine plywood. I’d like to get a remote controlled trolling motor for it too.

The other one is a 420 aft cabin. Another one on my short list when the time comes. I love the Sea Ray style.

Haha, It does fine in the trailerhood, its 25mph limit and the ramp is only 12 blocks. I use my 2500 when I actually tow it anywhere. The kick pulls it out of the ramp in 2hi with no issues. Suprised me too actually.

Correct......We sold the 420 about 2 months after Cool Breeze II. Very sad story on it however. The guy that bought it was supposed to be very experienced, but not in SC waters. He was scheduled to take the 420 on a Friday in June, 2018, I forget exact date. He had never run the boat at all. He pitches up on Thursday afternoon, him, his wife, and another couple are going to take the boat to Beaufort SC. His plan was to leave on Friday and go to Charleston, spend the night, and on to Beaufort the next day. Going to Charleston is fairly ambitious to do in one day, on one of these. He stated he was running outside from Georgetown to Charleston, not the waterway. Even so, that is going to be a very long day, its 4 hours from Myrtle Beach to Georgetown alone on one of these. He was 76 years old too. I begged him to stop in GT and enjoy the trip, gave him all info and where. At least he would get some time on the boat and get a feel for it without the rush......

I figured if you were going to be that ambitious and was dead set about getting going and going all the way to Charleston, a fellow would be going at the crack of daylight. Not this bunch, they very leisurely left at around 11 am on that Friday!!!!!! Still determined to go all the way to Charleston. Even running outside it would be 7-8 hours of hard running. Running inside it would be 10-11 hours of running. Off they go. I had spent a couple of hours with the guy the day before just showing him the systems and how everything run. About 2 hours after they left I got a message on my phone, something about the GPS not on, working, something like that. I called back, no answer. Nothing wrong with GPS or those units, they were brand new, I mean a couple of months since installed new....... worked perfectly, problem was, he had not figured out how to run the boat or systems yet.

We didn't know anything until two weeks later and we got a call from our broker that handled the sale. Our man had run the 420 up hard on the jetty in Charleston going in that night, and sunk the boat, total loss. Coast Guard responded out of Charleston, lucky no one was seriously injured.

Moral of the story is, he should have slowed down, enjoyed the ride to begin with. He didn't have a job to go to or an agenda. He could have taken the extra time. The other part is, he should have spent more time with the boat. Had it been me, I would have arrived a day earlier than he did, and took the boat out on some short runs just to get used to it and the electronics. But he didn't. It was sad for us, we had put a lot of time and effort in the boat.

I wish we had more time to spend on Cool Breeze II, but currently not 100% retired just yet. And time just does not permit as much time spent out as I would like. We ply the waters from between Charleston and Wilmington now. We have had a few nice little trips, and spent as much as two weeks on the boat on a couple of these trips. Very nice, and the boat is just big enough that you never feel cramped or crowded, and yet small enough that the wife and I can handle it without issues. Its a good fit. Handles great, and easy to run as well. Has twin 640 HP Cummins Diesels, 1280 HP total. Gen Set of course that can run everything. All the comforts of home.

We take a break this time of year, July/August. While we can run in comfort, once you get to your destination what the hell you gonna do then? Its too hot to get out and enjoy too much. We decided that we would enjoy our boat on some short runs this summer, and stay mostly at dock in MB. Its a great get away for us, and even if you just go to the boat for the day or a few hours its great. When it starts to cool a bit then we will be off again for a few small trips.

We are going to the boat this morning matter of fact, and relax and take a mid week break.........................Our 16 yr old has "Driving School", we figure drop her off, go to the boat for the day, and pick her up later this afternoon.......
