OK, who on here went up the crick without a paddle?

I understand using those low draft paddle boats to duck hunt. I don't understand doing it if you are expecting a decent amount of ice. You can't power through the ice by paddling. Me thinks I might try seeing of those high dollar duck shells could break the ice though.

Duck calls to locate the boat..... 3 guys, one canoe, one paddle........ Sad, sad, sad.....

I've taken guys duck hunting and had to take away their calls to keep them from blowing a distress call but I guess it could be used for that purpose if needed....

They didn't bring shotguns? Or just not enough shells?

I guess they need the boat paddle Ruger for sale on here.

I had two friends who were fairly new to duck hunting. Went to Lake Gaston and set up on an island. After a couple of hours one went back to the boat to get some food and...guess what? No boat. "I thought you tied it off! NO, I though you tied it off!"

Anyway, some homeowner sees the empty boat drifting down the river and calls wildlife. Meanwhile, friends spent the rest of the day firing shots, hollering and waving to nobody. About an hour before dark wildlife officers find them and say that they have been looking for hours..."why did you not build a fire?" DUH?

Their last duck hunt.

Foot note. You would think that I could have bought those brand new LL Bean magnum cork decoys for pennies on the dollar, but noooooooo. In their haste and joy of being rescued, they did not even think about them. Sheesh...all day and not a thought. Boat was on the river side of the island and their set was on the inland side, about three feet of water. Oh well.
