Ok Who Rented a White Penske Rental Van in Guilford County Thurs LOL

If you are deliberately trying to "regulate" the speed of traffic because you have some misguided philosophy on the subject, you are wrong and you need to get out of the way.
See it every day with those stupid libtards coming out of chapel hill, hyper-mile-ing their stupid Prius or outback plastered with bumper stickers. Then they invariably hit the brakes to pull into a turning lane.
Narration was excellent…dude has some awesome play-by-play skills.
Reminded me of the narrator from the PS2 game Rumble Racing.

in the old days, he could sell it to the news.
now he's uploaded it to youtube, so he probably has no right to money if youtube sells it to news outlets...
As the creator of the video, he still holds rights to it. YouTube doesn’t sell media or require you to surrender your ownership rights. He’ll make money via normal google ads, he can license the rights to it to the many large licensing companies, and he could also offer it to the news but I’m sure he’ll make more on YouTube than from the news.

Window sticker on a truck we just drove by in a parking lot:

"If I passed you on the right, you're an idiot"

When merging onto the freeway I always match the speed of traffic.
When a big rig moves over to the left and lets me in, I'll merge, and then back off enough to let him back into the right lane. (I do this with all vehicles but especially trucks)
I'm amazed at how many will just pace the poor trucker and not allow him to come back right. They just stay there right next to him oblivious as hell.
And people behind in the left lane will tailgate the hell out of him prohibiting him from backing off a-bit and moving right. Everybody has boxed this poor guy in and then proceed to scream at him.
Meanwhile, traffic is going insane.
You truck guys,,you have my permission to shoot these people. No thanks necessary. We hate them too.

I used to move over for merging traffic all the time. What you talk about is why I don't do it sometimes. If traffic is moderate, I'm less likely to move over to let you merge because you are more likely to hang me out there with nowhere to go. I've been hung out there for miles like that. And then folks start trying to pass me on the left and they fill up that lane making it even worse. It's as annoying for us as it is for those behind us.

We need a terrible intersections thread.

Southbound onto 77 from Tyvola, 2 lanes drops to one then merge. Plenty of runway, but folks will not accelerate to merge, and folks will not move left because the next exit is only a mile or two further.

I hate people who impede the flow of traffic by doing stupid, and sometimes dangerous, stuff.

If you're in the left lane, you should be passing. If you're not passing, then move right when others ARE trying to pass.

If you are passing, but are slower than those coming up behind you, then move over at the first opportunity.

If you are deliberately trying to "regulate" the speed of traffic because you have some misguided philosophy on the subject, you are wrong and you need to get out of the way.

If you're cutting people off...just cut that crap out. People trying to change lanes or merge is a fact of life on the road, get over yourself.

Man, maybe we should start an "I hate people who..." thread for driving! That could go on for pages!
I think we did have one, back on the Canadian board. It did go a long time, and we learned that Concepthomes was our resident left lane bandit. :)

Is it just me, or have aggressive and road rage drivers gotten worse in the last 2 years or so? I don't know if its the covid crap or Biden or what, but I drive to Durham a few days a week, and I've noticed the drivers getting more and more aggressive. Also hearing about more drive by shootings. Heck, they had one on Industrial drive in Mebane just a few days ago. That's just a few miles from me, and not far at all from Mace Sports.

I think i remember that one...

Was the left lane bandit mentioned driving a Silverado?

I guess if I didn't drive in Charlotte everyday, that sort of thing would be shocking. I see this kind of crap all the time. I put a Benz down a shallow bank for trying it on me on 74. He tried to pass me in the grass after I didn't let him cut me off in a terminating lane.

Man, if that ain't the absolute truth... Charlotte is awful for that. Drivers in CLT see a terminating lane as an opportunity to advance as far ahead in traffic as they can, past folks who had the sense to move over when they first saw the signs. I only let people over who have slowed down, signaled, and waited for an opportunity to move over. Trying to force their way in front of me is a recipe for getting punted into the median or over the shoulder. Homey don't play that!

A couple years back I was going to Statesville to buy a shotgun from a member. Had a Lamborghini try to pass me on the shoulder. Good thing they come with brakes as good as the engine. Because I came about 6 feet from putting him into a construction sign that he didn't see ahead of us.
