I think it was his girlfriend’s idea.

As you know, the humidity this afternoon felt like it was over 100%.

I offered to send him with my new Honda generator, 15 amp drop cord, 10 gallons of gas, and new 8000 BTU window unit air conditioner. He actually paused, and thought about it for a minute. :D

Oh, and about half a dozen oak logs out of my woodpile. THAT should cool things off. :confused:

Gotta give him credit to find one if it was her idea but they must be desperate for some alone time to want to “camp” in this temp and humidity. Sure wouldnt be much sleeping going on as hot as it is. Be in the lake till about mid night till it cooled off a few degrees.

On this note I saw two young teen boys (12-13 age) on the local corner this week trying to get people to stop to buy firewood like a kid would have a lemonade stand. Thought I was impressed with there ambition but 88 degree weather is probably not the best time to offer that product.

They’ll be fishing for awhile, too.
This girl played volleyball on a scholarship, has strawberry blonde hair, and is now a PHD student in functional genomics.
My boy will do well to hang on to this one.

Field grade, I assume you were “testing him” with the genny and AC? You were gonna drag him to the tattoo parlor and brand him “liberal” on his chest if he said “that sounds swell pop!”?

kudos to your boy for getting himself one-oh-them volleyball broads. They are prime. Ahhh to be young again...

When I told my son the inverter/generator weighs 50lbs, the gas weighs 50lbs, the a/c weighs 50lbs, he said, “Uh, no thanks dad."

You obviously don't live near any soccer mom neighborhoods. There are fires burning tonight. In fact it is making me ill.

Nope I sure don’t and for good reason! :) my neighbors can burn about what they want when they want and not bother me.
 
Not that I’m suggesting anything ... but it would be funny for someone to play pranks on them about oh say 2am tonight. Weird animal impressions, tossing ice cubes (they melt and leave no evidence) at their tent, etc. The stories someone would hear in a day or two would be worth a sleepless night :D.

no.
I mean, there's a chance she's not insane... but most of the grad student girls i knew were unbalanced and erratic at best. It's kind of a requirement of research.
