Tom Satterly (Delta) recounts those 2 days. It was a huge hit to Rangers and Delta, and he struggles to this day.

Brad Halling is, or has, opened a distillery in Southern Pines. I’ll ask him if it’s up and running yet.
For those that don’t know him, he was the third Delta guy on the chopper with Gary Gordon and Randy Shugart. Brad took over the door gunners position after the gunner was hit by fire. Brad was also hit after the insertion and lost a leg.
Edit to add: Brad said he’s hoping for a December opening.
