Orange county to require masks in public starting this Friday through August 31

well at least they said this:
"At your home, masks are not required by Orange County."
 
If you drive through Orange County, do you have to put one on?
Only if your car windows are down? Inside your bike helmet?
If you're riding a bus in Orange County?

How about some good old fashioned civil disobedience to the overlords so NO, I'm not wearing a mask to protest overbearing power hungry liberals.
 
As well as UNC Chapel Hill in the fall. The people who are making the rules don't understand the unintended consequences. do you wear them in the dorm? How can you practice social distancing in a dorm? What about a class of 300? Do you wear a mask and PE class, or at the pool? What if you're walking around campus?

Most of my daughter’s Fall classes at U of SC are going online. She has a Bio or Chem lab that is in person, but professors are going online for the most part. This could eventually blow up the college scam once people decide they don’t need to pay $30k/year for ‘the college experience’ BS.
 
I already avoid Orange County... with one exception. I have good friends on Buckhorn Road in Efland, which is in Orange County. They allow me to hunt on their property. However, they identify as Alamance County residents.
 
Have we all learned nothing at this point?

if some cop had the balls to break your balls over mask in Orange County, tel him politely that you are not wearing one in protest to George Floyd and then scream I CANT BREATHhHh. My bet is he/she splits pretty quickly.

Or just set their car on fire so you can move on peacefully.

True story from today.

Went into a Subway for lunch. Line to counter doubles back on itself. Big ethnic guy with mask and nitrile gloves is standing in the middle of the lobby, I just go to the place where the line should be. Big ethnic guy starts going on about he's "in line" but if so, he's social distancing to the tune of 20ft. Never mind the fact that the line doubles back and you're within 3ft of the other part of the line. Go figure.

If I see one more person wearing a mask while driving I may run off the road from laughing.

Just so you know, some of us have been working diligently (and often through a lot of technology-related frustration) to provide and retain rigorous and quality course experiences whilst under the limitations of Cov0d-mandated online delivery all the while fighting the long rearguard action against virtue-signaling administrators and peers along with entitled/triggered students.

Just as good: say you cannot wear one for medical reasons and claim government HIPAA violations if they question you about it. Nothing like threat of a lawsuit over a jurisdiction to get its' agents to back off....
 
OCS gonna be pulling over people on the highway and arresting everyone without a mask on. Gotta let real criminals out of jail to make room.

Seems to only apply to residents. Non residents are exempt. HA!

The sheriff's department? LOL, the only sheriff who hates doing traffic more than Lindy Pendergrass did is Charles....
 
I still haven't figured out what it takes to get pulled over by either the Alamance or Orange Counties' Sheriff's deputies.

A few of her professors did a decent job with the limitations in the Spring. But it’s kind of hard to do online labs.

Don't forget those fashion plates that also drive with the big rubber gloves on, like we used to use for washing dishes! Oh my goodness.....

My daughter TA'd physics labs on line. It went pretty well. The only student that did poorly was a student that really didn't do much of anything and then complained because he didn't pass.
