Origins of Soylent Green

So the other day I mentioned Soylent Green in another thread...and then this morning I see this:

Apparently California is not the first state to allow it, but they may be the first to co opt it into something else...take the residue, clean it up, add flavoring, some color (Soylent Red anyone?), some soy...batta bing, batta boom, the ultimate green circle of life.

Sci fi you think? If this ever became popular enough or even mandated in some areas, I would not put it past someone to try it...

Says they crush the bones, but what do they do with the "brownish, Syrupy, liquid"?? Not something I would want in my Wastewater Treatment Plant, or injected into the groundwater. Need more iformation.

They're not using fossil fuels and creating carbon emissions, but now you have to do something with the by-products. They're just trading one issue for another.

From what I understand, teeth are extruded and bones are ground, then baked into cakes which are passed around.
