Anyone have one? Any comments? Criticisms? I would welcome any reviews from anyone with hands on experience. Thanks!

Buddy just picked one up and I haven't got to shoot it yet but I handled it the other day. I am by no means a fan of the P320s but that thing felt amazing. My main complaint, besides how heavy they are is how high the bore axis is. The X5 doesn't have this problem at all.

How is the bore axis different? Isn't it the same gun with some extras?

@FlatFender is this the one you were talking about in your podcast a couple weeks ago?

I don't know, doesn't feel the same, I think they have a deeper under cut on the trigger guard and beaver tail. You can get a much higher grip on it than the standard 320s.

I also felt one up in a shop a few weeks ago, it fit my hand really well. The trigger felt really clean as well. Defiantly worth another look and some range time

When I was researching them they do say that they have undercut the trigger guard and reduced the beaver tail on the X5 for a higher purchase.
I'd like to shoot one, but kind of scared to, I just spent all the money on the M&P.....LOL

Thanks for the info so far. For $849 with 5 mags and Dawson sights out of the box, looks promising. Anybody shot one? FWIW, I don't understand the bore axis criticism.
If it were that big a deal, wouldn't all of us just shoot CZ's? (Half kidding)

Seems like they designed the perfect competition striker gun, that you can use right out of the box at a match. Ticks so many boxes. I'd sure like to try one.

I'd look hard at it if I were shooting production. If/when it becomes prod legal.

I bought the P320 full size and the subcompact kit.
The full size has minimal felt recoil. Shoots straighter than any of the pistols I have. Trigger is really nice. Avoids the down and to the right that I sometimes get shooting my FNS9. The latter occurs when I'm not as focused on finger placement.
Using the subcompact kit it nice too. That is what I carry now.

The P320 X5 is Production and IDPA SSP legal with the mag-well removed. The kicker is you'll need new mags, the ones that don't come with it won't fit the box for Production or IDPA. So buy the gun and buy $2-300 more in mags. It is a good setup for Carry Optics (add a sig optic) or 3 gun out of the box.

I was thinking of steel challenge and maybe 3 gun type matches. As NKD states, looks like maybe the perfect out of the box gun for those type matches.

Oh man. Deal Killer for production. Cuz as now your into CZ shadow territory! Or nice Tanfo.

CZ fanboys: we're gonna hold everything to a higher standard!

Still, if a guy had no interest in production it would be pretty sweet. It is devoid of some of the features that had turned me off to sigs in the past.

I'm interested in the X5 a lot! Have been since it was announced and I saw the prototype. Had the chance to get one recently but looked into the extra costs I didn't. I shoot a Glock 34 in competition, I also own a 17 and a couple other glocks. So holsters, mags, mag pouches are all the same. Really the cost of the gun isn't important, what I couldn't justify was the extra $4-500 bucks on new mags, holster and belt/mag pouch setup to run this gun the way I want in IDPA/USPSA.

If you already have a P320 and mags, then the jump to the X5 makes more sense. ONce they come out with the X-Five Vtac and the updated mags available for it I can see it being more viable.
