I may get me one of these. I've always had great experience with Primary Arms optics.

Agreed.

As of now, all I have is a PRO, but what I've used from them has been good. I had one of the original micros when they were first getting popular.
Considering the technology leap that red dots have made, I would have to hope that this is a rugged and well designed optic, and not considered "budget" in regards to quality. Many people act as though Aimpoint is infallible and I've seen enough people with issues to know that's not the case. Add to the fact that Aimpoint's CS is pretty weak, I would rather buy from PA. I just don't know if $380-420 is worth it for a PRO anymore.

Primary Arms and Holosun are among the best red dot Optics I've used. I have yet to have one fail on me.

Some super tactciool face shooter will be along shortly to explain how this is junk and one must spend $1000+ on their red dot to avoid being killed in the streets.

I totally understand getting what you pay for, but I don't even know where that line is anymore. To be honest, this seems like wicked cheap tech. I don't see why the prices can't come down on red dots. It's basically just an LED with a rugged housing. Surely that doesn't need to be $400. I would really like to see someone torture test this versus the Aimpoint. If they're putting a lifetime warranty on it, I can't imagine they would want to dish out crap and destroy their profit margin.

Even my PRO is only a 3 year non-transferable warranty, and I've hard it's junk when you have to use the warranty. Takes forever and you still pay shipping.

Interesting, looks like a damn good budget contender. 1.6yr (19.4mo) battery life sounds pretty awesome to me. I'm a huge fan of the PA micro, in fact it's the only optic I own, 6 of them iirc. I'd like to see a similar micro model.

Their micro advanced originally claimed 50k hours and I think a lot of people called BS on it so it has been scaled back. - The PRO is 30k hours, the ACO is 10k hrs, and I think most of the Aimpoint micros claim 50k.

IDK to be honest. I don't leave mine on and I'll change the battery every year or so.

While I think it is impressive that some optics claim they will stay on for years at a time, I don't leave any of mine on all the time so it's not really a selling point for my uses.

Now, for a "leave it on beside the bed" rifle I guess it's a good thing.

They are the same ones who should spend $200 on a optic and $800 on ammo and training.

I'm not jumping out of a plane over nowhere-astan and doing secret squirrel stuff, I'm satisfied with the PA stuff and will keep using it.

I will be honest.

I have seen more PA red-dots now then Aimpoints on carbines.

Never seen a PA RDS one fail, not true for AimPoints.

The quality of glass is damn near useless on a RDS. Granted the MRO has the best so far..

I will have to get a PA RDS at some point..

I have definitely heard of PA dots failing among other things like losing zero or split dot syndrome (two dots appear after use) - That said, I feel like most of that has probably been worked out.

I will probably try this dot for my next purchase. May even sell my PRO and pick this up instead.

I have one of their micros on my gamer AR and love it. A friend put one on his Ar and also loves it. Might have to look at one of these.

Also who makes a decent magnifier that don't cost $500?

Hmmm.... another buying option to think about.

I was seriously considering one of the Holosun auto-on micros with the ACSS reticle. Any experiences?
I have one of the early PA micros and have been happy with it.

Holosun and PA are both great. I prefer Holosun slightly. I am a dealer for both and have sold several of each. Never had anyone not satisfied with either. The ACSS reticle is pretty awesome!
