Passing of a member: Mushu Gordon

I’ve been traveling lately and just now saw this sad news. I remember interacting with him in some threads in the past and always thought of him as very personable, likable, and funny.

May Aaron Rest In Peace.

Not sure why, but this news hit me hard, not sure what to say.

Hello all,
I am Mushugordon's mother. I would like to thank everyone for all the kind words about Aaron (Mushu). Every word written was heart felt. I have read all the comments several times and every time I read them, it brings tears to my eyes. It means so much to me that everyone saw what a wonderful person he was. If you met him you know he was a great salesman and could sell ice to an eskimo. As you all are aware, Aaron sold ammo and military surplus before and after he entered the Marine Corp. He had a large amount of ammo and several items of military surplus. I have decided to have an auction sale of the ammo/military surplus that he had. It is being conducted by Myers Auction Co. in East Bend, NC on December 19th at 10:00am. Below is a link to the auction where you can view the items for sale if you are interested.

Thank you again to all the great friends and customers of Aaron.

i’m just now finding out about this myself.

your son was a great guy had the pleasure of doing business with him. and also just stopping by a couple times to shoot the crap with him:

i’ve always wanted that ambulance he had but it would feel wrong to own it to me. he won’t ever be forgotten as he taught me a few things over the years and be missed.

Oh how am I now only seeing this? I’m saddened I’ve had several dealings with him I know the VA wasn’t helping him which is a common problem. The physical pain he was going through and mental anguish was immense always made me grimace. I pray he is in peace now and he’ll be missed

I just saw this. I'm sorry for the loss. I never met him in person, but he always brought a smile.

I was blesses to have met Aaron during a range group shoot at Uwharrie flintlock range. Haven't seen him in a few year but remember him a as sharp fun loving guy that always seemed to have a smile on his face.

Rest easy brother

RIP Mushu. thinkin about ya today.
you’re right. The CFF community has lost far to many members, and it’s members have lost family members in the last couple of years, enough to be noteworthy. Happy Memorial Day to all of them, and their families,

Wow, I'm way late for this! I feel like a cad, now.

I was just thinking the other day about Mushu, not having seen anything from him. And then I ran across this.

Fair winds and following seas, my friend. I never met you in life, but we'll surely meet on fiddler's green.

And I second the postings of others...depression is a heavy burden to suffer, and perhaps one of the most difficult aspects about it is the difficulty in reaching out to others because of it. It's a deep hole to be in, the more so because you just want to curl up in it and avoid all contact with others.

Depression comes on for many reasons, and they aren't all the same...nor treatable the same way from person to person.

However, just know that there ARE people out there willing to listen, to provide a shoulder when in need. We may not be "professionals", but we damn sure are caring friends. And sometimes that makes all the difference in the world.

RIP, Mushu. Rest assured that you made a difference in the lives of the people you touched.

Wow, this is weird. Yesterday, out of nowhere, I thought about Aaron. The conversation was about flea markets and I remembered the first time I met Aaron. It was at the flea market on Hwy 52 in Mt. Airy. He had just bought that ambulance and he was showing it to me and telling me of his plans for it. RIP, Mushu Gordon.
