I currently reload for my Cz shadow 2, 147 summit city FP, 1.12 oal, 3.1 gr TiteGroup, and would like to start loading for Pcc once I pick one up. Need to make e PF for USPSA competitions. What is everyone’s current recipes?

Barrel length will come into play heavily here.

In my experience, a 16-in 9 mm barrel and fast pistol powder don't play well with each other accuracy-wise or standard deviation wise.
Minute of a zone isn't exactly precision shooting but it is frustrating on the longer shots when you don't have the confidence to print a decent group.
I would lean towards the slower powders.

I have a 16" AR 9mm. When I was thinking of what to try, I figured I would either start with a light bullet (115gn) and see how far it would stay supersonic. The other route I considered was a heavy sub-sonic bullet. From what I had read, bullets will lose some accuracy when they drop through the transonic range (around 1150 to 1200 fps). I had some RMR 115 FMJ bullets, so I thought I would start there.

I tried a couple of powders, but what ended up working really well for me was Power Pistol, 6.1gn, which is below published max (they were the most accurate). My gun has a short throat, so I seated them to 1.100" OAL. They start out at 1500 fps, and are supersonic out to about 75 yards. They print about 2.1" at 100 yards. I was very happy with that, so I did not do much more investigation. I did try AA#7 and could get another 100fps but never saw the accuracy I did with Power Pistol.

I've shot them out to 200 yards, but there is a LOT of spin drift, I have to aim left several inches, but I can regularly hit the 8" plate at 200 yards with them.

Now this is NOT a load for any kind of competition, just something I wanted to play with. My PCC is just a range toy. :) I know for competition, you might be looking for a certain power factor, and may want a lighter velocity/recoil load.

With my Ruger PCC, I can't seem to get decent groups. Not that it would help your PF questions, but I'm intrigued by Jerry's 90 grain loads.

I am a fan of “one load to rule them all” I find it much easier to play around and find a load that works well in pistol or PCC
My current load for 9mm
125 gr Brazos projectile
3.8 gr titegroup
1.13 OAL
This would be ideal for sure.

Yeah, when I went from production to pcc, all I did was slightly change my OAL because it was a longer throat than my tanfo. For what it's worth it's 125gr cast and powder coated bullet, 4.2 grains of hp38 at 1.15 OAL. makes pf easy in both guns

Agreed, I like KISS for most of my loads.

I ended up with a bunch of W231 so I worked up a load with that and Blue Bullet 147flat points. I figured out the cartridge length to be as long as I could get it and still chamber in all of guns.

Then I worked up to something like a 130PF from my 3 gun Glock 34.

It shoots great in everything I've tried (pistol or PCC) and runs quiet when suppressed.

The load I worked up for my PCC works very well in my Stock II, but costs a little more per round. Being the tightwad that I am, I don't have any problem having a dedicated load for my PCC.

The reduced loads I worked up for my regular 9mm handguns, using Power Pistol, left a lot of unburned powder in the PCC. I'm not sure why that is. The PCC likes hotter loads.

so do you use same powder and projectile for both? what about oal? just wondering how much of a pain it might be.

I use FMJ 115 RN for the PCC load. For everything else I use plated 115 RN.

The PCC has a short throat/leade so I have to seat short for that.

Well I found my current load doesn’t work on the pcc. The taccom upper doesn’t seem to like the FP projectile.
