Trump didn’t downplay it at all. He followed Fauci the expert’s advice. Fauci started out saying no need for masks. Remain calm. Bastard knew about this months ago and did nothing. Trump’s biggest mistake was not firing every Obama holdover and incompetent academic boob in the Federal Gov’t.

If you think Fauci told Trump that this thing will miraculously disappear which is literally what he said then I don’t know how to help you.

BTW Fauci has served presidents both R and D. He’s top tier in his field and has literally (if not respectfully) refuted what trump has said in the same briefings.

What is funny is that me and you mostly agree on the problems. We just differ somewhat on the causes and solutions. We’ll get there one way or another.
