PHA Defensive Pistol Match Scores for Saturday August 24TH

It is a miracle that I could hit anything at all, much less headshots at 20 yards. Got home, disassembled the Officer and found that the barrel bushing had broken off a portion of the outer lip and split longitudinally sometime during the match. Glad it happened during a match.... it is my carry gun:eek:. Good match, none the less.

Today was my first match - Brett was awesome - he took time to help correct mistakes and coach us. I really appreciate his time and commitment to helping us. So a BIG thanks to Brett!! I’ll definitely be back again next month!

Brett, thank you again for running this match. Man! i can't believe i missed everything on Stage #1....that was what, extra 30 seconds to total?

I realized that once the scores were posted. It sure was a tough stage. Guess i am going to the range every day i can and practicing my weak-hand shooting.

I'm curious as well. I'd love to make this one.

Last time I shot a match was June and I just had my right shoulder operated on 3 weeks ago (rotator cuff repair / bone spur removal / biceps tendonesis) ... but what can POSSIBLY go wrong?

Eta: actually that’s probably a bad idea. Maybe next month

Has anyone considered putting clear trash bags over the targets? It might be a little time consuming, but that might be a way to work around the weather.

That does work. I have been in rainy matches doing that. Doesn’t help if the action pit is also a mud pit though...

We have dry cleaner bags for use during the Tactical Match. Problem is that it only waterproofs the target for an hour or two before they’re ruined anyway. Not to mention pasters get soaked and don’t work as well.

Fine for a pop up shower but not rain during the whole match, IMO.

The match is cancelled due to Weather and it being a Holiday weekend.
We also do not have a match in December Due to Christmas.

So that leaves us January weather permitting. This year has been a disaster as far as weather
is concerned, I am looking forward to a better year in 2019! I want to thank everybody who participates
in this match! I want to extend to all of you and your families a very Merry Christmas!, Hanuka!,
or other religious holiday you believe in! We are free nation preserved by its citizens and I just
wish you all well! Be safe ,shoot straight, and 0 down!!

Regards,

Brett

Oh, no...... I'll have forgotten which end the projectile comes from by then! Brett, wishing y'all a wonderful holiday season. And you're so right about our freedom; hard won by great people........

Aaack.... just as well, I'll be sitting in the Cone Cancer Center with KD on Saturday morning. See y'all in a few months.

I’m currently registered for CGGR this Saturday, but might have to drop out. If I do, I’ll be at Defensive Pistol.
