I don’t always take good photos, but sometimes I get to take important ones. SFC Harry L. Ettmueller, USA (Ret) was captured in the battle of Hue on 05 February 1968. In 1973 after 1857 days of captivity he was released during Operation Homecoming, the return of 591 American prisoners of war held by North Vietnam. He was visiting Fort Brag as part of the AFVN (American Forces Vietnam Network) reunion.

Command Master Chief Joe Ciokon USN (Ret) covered the Vietnam War during the 1968 TET Offensive as a broadcast journalist and photographer. His photographs show the Viet Cong dead inside the American embassy compound in Saigon. He was also in the building next door to Beirut Marine Barracks on October 23, 1983 when a Hezbollah truck bomb destroyed it killing 241 American service personnel.

Shooting Cheap Trick from below the stage. Took a quick look to be sure my settings were right when something struck me on the nose.
Looked up and Rick Nielsen had thrown his guitar pick at me. He was laughing at me. I knew he would not hear me over the music, and with the industrial grade earplugs he had in, so I just mouthed "you son of a bitch" He saw what I said and laughed harder. He also continued to pelt me with picks during the set.

Soccer Ref Bill Beasley waits for the start of the Fort Bragg matches.
Oh yeah, I know that feeling quite well. Been on the pitch since 69, quit playing at age 44, went over to the dark side and got a whistle.

Sergeant Adam Sherman of the 6-18 Expeditionary Sustainment Command visits with friends at the Field Of Honor at the Run, Honor, Remember 5k run. The run and memorial field are to honor service members who have died in combat since Sept. 11, 2001. The Hedrick Stadium field at Fort Bragg was covered with rows of boots. Each boot is adorned with an American flag and the photo and name of the service member it represents.
