Just doin' my civic duty. Creating an endowment for Jeppo's Sanctuary Shelter for Wayward Smiths.

Seems unfair that these senior citizens, having served so faithfully, are cast out and forsaken like so much cheap polymer.

Naaa....yall keep snatchin em up. I like seein the pics :D

1911, what’s not to like?

Need any help with your will?
I believe I've got the will sorted. But, JSSWS (the sanctuary), in order to carry on its good work, is accepting donations. All contributions are non tax-deductible. :D

Along the way, this little critter lost the second magazine.

Anyway, I'm happy to have unearthed a S&W CS9D; otherwise completely NIB. :)

Jeppo pulls out front. :D:p
Not at all.

This is frustrating stuff for me. Each time I cross a gun off "the list", at least 2 or 3 more replace it. Plus there's the complication of uncovering items that aren't even on the list.

There's a list? What's on the list...unless that's too personal a question.

Thanks....I guess!

Went to the store with a plan, at least a thought, to snag a new Blue Label discount Glock. But, came home with this “like new” used Glock 36 (single stack .45 ACP), with box, mags, etc for very good price. It beat the discounted new price by a wide margin. This gun left the factory in 2009 but still had the gold Glock lube in the slide rails.

** EDIT: FYI, Glock has expanded the Blue Label program to include all honorably discharged veterans, until Labor Day.

Am I the only person who did not know that glock made a 22lr? Please say it holds more than 10 rounds
No, you're OK. Glock doesn't make a .22 LR. Advantage Arms makes .22 conversions for several guns. Sadly, their magazines only hold 10 rounds. Very well made and work great. We had to add a little lube to this one as the slide had been sitting for quite some time.

@garvin bought a used conversion kit for his Glock 19 and I have seen him run thousands of rounds of .22 through his without any issues at all.

I don't generally get too excited about gen 2 Smith's. I still want a 39-2 for sentimental reasons and all my others are gen 3.

But, I laid eyes on this one and it felt like I was looking into the eyes of an older black lab at the pound, I had to adopt him.

Model 459, according to box it was produced in 1987.
This one had surprisingly little carry wear.
I'm happy I found this one. He'll fit in with the others just fine.

Man, those puppy dog pound eyes will get ya every time :D
Several years ago, still during the AWB, I ran across an old Ruger P89 with 15 rnd mags in a pawn shop in Knoxville.
Ordinarily nothing to be super excited about, but it looked so lonely....

This story does not have a happy ending, though. Some douchenozzle broke into my house a couple years later and stole it while I was on vacation

Today’s carry is...not a revolver. It is a Glock 43 in a TT Gunleather KX Lightweight holster.

I usually carry a snubby and, for me, it’s easy to forget how well the Glock 43 covers much of the same ground. It is comfortable in the hand, concealable, reliable and packs a good punch in terms of caliber and capacity. The 43 and the similar single stack Glock 36 (.45 ACP) are the only Glocks in primary defense calibers that don’t carry like a bricks. Now, if Glock could only make this in polished blue with Goncalo Alves wood grips (and a cylinder) it would be perfect.

Shame on you! [emoji14]

Not at all. No shame in the Glock game. In fact, only semi-autos that I kept were Glocks, until I added all of the Smith semi-autos [emoji4] I’ll give credit where it’s due. Glock makes a solid but utilitarian pistol. True pimps still carry revolvers or 1911s. (No 1911s for me)

That is one of my favorite Glock models, but sadly other guns do it better now.

Traded the XDS for a sheild 45, sold it later that day. Used that for my second 9c, and met up with a member here for the Pro Series. Both are new to me today.

Bad influences on the board I say!

Bottom ones are new, top 9c also bought off here.

Picked up this very good condition, nearly new, Smith & Wesson 6946 today. This package was made for sale to a law enforcement agency, as noted on the box. Came with three magazines (double stack 12 rds). It has an alloy frame, stainless slide, DAO.

My only complaint is the stupid magazine base plate finger extension. Makes the gun damned neat unconcealable. Need a flat mag base.

Agreed. I have this same model and I do love this pistol. It is the near perfect size, weight, and magazine capacity for carry, in my opinion. VERY shootable. Great pick up, by the way.
