Pistol Picture Thread

Sent my Rhino .357 to Chiappa, to get a 9mm user swapable cylinder. Swap takes about 30 seconds.

I got a new Glock. This must be one of the new models. They have really cheapened them up a lot. There's hardly any plastic in this one at all.

This one is as yet unfired since leaving Arkansas. Just picked it up yesterday. Poor lighting so this picture suffered. It is not a naked slide, but the roll marks are very "understated", which I like.

No frills. All business.

Isn't that an old German Luger pistol?
No; the pistol is a Mauser Parabellum 29/70 in 9mm, which is a Swiss 1929 version (straight front-strap and grip safety) that was produced by Mauser under contract to Interarms starting in 1970.

Reportedly, Sam Cummings, the owner of Interarms, found tooling for the 1929 Swiss Luger in a Swiss armory and bought it from the Swiss. He then went to Mauser and asked them to build new Lugers using the only surviving original tooling (all of the German tooling had been destroyed during WWII). Mauser agreed to a fixed-price contract before they discovered there were issues with the old tooling. After re-tooling, Mauser supposedly lost money on every unit they produced.

My pop's SR1911. He always hated the gaudy two-tone components, so I got around to setting it up with all stainless (except the slide stop) stuff and some elk grips I was about to sell. I think he would've liked it, even with that long idiot scratch that we liked to blame each for putting on the frame.

Just picked up this Combat Unit rail gun from a good friend here at CFF. Put an S&A magwell on it for him awhile back. Will be running it in a match Saturday. Frame to slide fit is good, and locks up tight.

Very nice... mine is Black Army.

I am always on the look out for a neglected Black Army or Carbonia Blue because I would love to use it as a base gun. I would love to have those rollmarks on a full house custom but I can't bring myself to sacrifice the one I have.

Did you get the Blue Gun discount?
I fixed the picture, looks better now in B&W.;) Phone camera picked up LED ceiling light.
No but it was only $274 + $15 for shipping. Appears to have been a desk gun or the officer carried a different one.

I just have to add some white nail polish to the expired night sights, just like I did to my M&P trade ins.
