Taking possession of this tomorrow morning.

Gen3 G21 w factory threaded barrel. Current RMR is a place holder for a RM06 that’s on order.

Still has factory grease on slide.

Planning a 10mm conversion soon.

Ok guys, now on this alloy Hi Power, I've been told from someone to NOT have it refinished. I have a guy that can clean and cerakote this thing and make it look like my other Hi Power's. Dude told me once refinished, the collector value of the alloyed frame gun would be gone. I kinda call BS on that, What says you guys that know about these things.

Let's keep this simple. It's already causing you too much of a headache with this refinishing crap.
l'll give you your money back and you can forget all about it!!!

I would need to see more pics to make sure but I am 99% sure based on this pic the gun has already been refinished at least once. Look at the flaking of the finish.

I can't see the serial numbers in your pics but here is some of the history on these guns. When you look at a FN BHP of this vintage you can decode the serial number and it give you some information as to is its production and who is was made for. 245 is FNs BHP "Commercial Prefix" (245), then the date code which is 2 letters which is followed by the pistols SN which is 5 digits. XXXXX. On these alloys there is sometimes another set of letters and number that are a Police Inventory Control Number prefix There are 3 prefixes IIRC. GVA, GVB, and GVC. After the prefix is an inventory control numbers, XXX and then a date of inventory for example 1984 (84).

These are often touted as "European Police", some as "Austrian Border Guard", some as "Belgian Undercover/Intelligence/Special Operations Unit". There is lots of mystery about who actually ordered these pistols.

The only verified published reference source for these pistols is Blake Stevens "The Browning High Power Automatic Pistol" In his work he states the 1980s alloy BHP to "Belgian Gendarmerie Motorcycle Police". No one has ever to my knowledge found the meaning of the GVA/GVB/GVC abbreviations. The Austrian Gendarmerie Police and Belgian Gendarmerie Police were decommissioned in 2005 and 1992 respectively and no records seem to be available.

Unless you have one that is unissued or at least has its original finish in 90%+ condition it has almost no collector value. The holsters that these were carried in rubbed the frame to the bare metal on the front part of the frames. As a result they were often refinished using some crappy spray and bake coating. They did a crappy job and it almost always flaked. So if you want to refinish do it.

I have completely overhauled 2 of them. The work was done by Don Williams. One was done by Robar NP3 on the lower and Roguard for the slide and controls and the other was Cerakoted by Don's guy. They make fantastic carry guns.

Thanks man. My Ser. starts with a 75C, then five digits after. No other numbers/letter's.

You have an early version. It was made in 1975. On the other side of the gun are there 2 pins in the frame like this below the injection port?
