Pistol Picture Thread

Hi, yes I did try it out, perfect right out of the box, no sight adjustments necessary, nice to shoot.
Yes, I have a spare adapter from EWK arms with the o ring engagement.
Here's my before and after. Swapped the grips, added the adapter, removed the white lettering.

My Remington R1 Enhanced. The 1911 that really kicked off my affinity for the platform.

I've been a mostly a revolver guy for a long time but recently became acquainted with the early Smith & Wesson semi-autos. I like the early 39s through the 3rd Generation pistols...mostly the single stack 9mm and .45 with alloy frames (particularly DAO).

Just landed this NIB Model 3914 (DAO) from a big auction site. I understand that the DAO variant (Product Code 103922) was made for NYPD; however, many guns never made it into service. A distributor bought them for private sale. It's not "rare" but certainly a less common configuration. The trigger is quite "revolver like" and that suits me just fine.

I welcome good 3913/3914 IWB holster suggestions, including information about other modern productions guns / holsters that might have similar dimensions.

Y’all try to control your excitement as I know this is a real unicorn seldom seen in the wild...

I've been seriously considering a CO pistol lately. My eyes are starting to go a little and front sight is a fuzzy blob.

Basically can get a glock with optic for cheaper than a lot of other options for just the pistol! Very tempted to...GASP.. sell my CZ TSO for something like that.

I’m just venturing into the world of CO. I like it so far. Once they changed the rules where you could swap the trigger shoe on CO guns, the 34 was a no brainer for me. I’ve always hated the factory Glock trigger shoe! My Apex is on the way!

The Gen 5 has some viable upgrades over the previous generations IMO. The beveled Magwell and slide finish being the most prolific.

This is a Vet. bring back. The story I heard was GI’s captured an unarmed German officer in front of a barn. A French kid was pointing into the barn, they went in and found the German’s pistol in the hay.
1942 Mauser. First year of production.

Have you fired it? I have one my dad brought back but I've never shot it.

Yes, I have. It’s actually quite accurate and easy to shoot.
Unfortunately it was shot with corrosive ammo and not cleaned properly, so the bore is pitted and lets an otherwise uncommon year pistol down.
