I just found out about this! It's going to be at the newish Agriculture building in Pittsboro, about 1 mile from the courthouse, downtown.

For $5, I'm planning to go, but not expecting too much.

Anybody else going? It'd be awesome to meet some more members...

I’ll be in Hickory.

It is worth trying out for $5. His percentage of gun and gun related dealers is higher than the big shows. One dealer there sells a bunch of used guns he gets from police auctions, etc. and you never know what he will have. If do it if I had the weekend free, but I ain’t missing my home show.

What day are going? CFF meetup?

Well, doesn't look like I'm going to make it after all. We had 60 tons of gravel delivered yesterday that is mostly going to be spread by hand.

I appreciate the thought and folks are more than welcome to show up for the gravel party! LOL!

We have a tractor with a bucket and a skid steer and I will be able to place some of the gravel initially bucket by bucket but it has to be spread by hand because of the nature of where it is going. This is not critical infrastructure stuff, but we are trying to make it to where it is not muddy when we dance around the fire Bowl on Saturday nights! Also putting some under a new lean-to that we built to park the four-wheelers under. That kind of thing. If I wasn't working out of town and only had my weekend to accomplish things that would not be that big of a deal. But I will be coming in from Charleston late this evening and have to head out early Monday morning so it is kind of rush job when stuff like this comes up. I hate I will miss the little show and I may even get to go on Sunday. Not sure yet.

Im still planning to go, but I live very close by... I can leave a comment on here when I get there and verify it's still open... On Saturday.

Thanks! I might be able to drop by the show on my way to Kernersville, but it won’t be until after lunch.

Im here! It's small, but it's worth $5.

Tons of guns and knives!

I am on my way. Need to stop by the feed store on the way there to pick up chicken food, so probably won’t be there until 3 PM.

My professor gave us 3 exams this weekend. Looks like I'm stuck at the house all weekend. Take a few pictures and post, I would like to see the layout. I may try to make it tomorrow afternoon.

I came with my wife. Saw everything and left in less than 30min.

No good deals.

Mostly used guns, beat up, and overpriced.

Still glad I went though.

Ditto. I went back around lunch time. I did see a couple of 8-3/4" 686 no dashes that tempted me until I saw the price tags. A dude wanted to clean my glasses and I sampled some peanuts. The best part was the drive through the country to and from Pittsboro.

I just got done walking through the show. was there less than 30 minutes, probably less than 20.
In my opinion, unless you just want to support this show so that it comes back and gets better, it’s not worth the five dollars.
It is really small, and they did not allow pictures so I couldn’t take a shot to show you.
I didn’t mind it being small if they had had some good stuff, but the only things I saw reasonable prices on were used Glocks. Maybe a couple 22 rifles that were in OK shape and were under $150.
A few Mossberg and other brand pump shotguns for around $200.
Ammo was way overpriced, some of it crazy priced, and some guns were crazy overpriced as well, both new and used. They have some older stuff, but it all looked to be expensive and a lot of it was beat up.
A ton of Case style pocket knives at one vendor that might be interesting to someone who collects them, but to me they looked overpriced, like none under $50. And lots of other knives, but they were mostly Low quality flashy stuff, that was priced higher than it should be.
I hope they come back next year and have a better selection. The whole Ag Building was full, but I never realized it was that small.

They had a sign on the door that said it was against the rules to take photographs... That was weird...

I forgot to tell y'all the funny thing that happened... As my wife and I pulled up, I saw signs that said, "No Loaded Guns Allowed. No Concealed Carry. No Photography. "

So, my wife and I left our carry guns in the car.

Inside the front door, we paid our $5 entry fee.

There was one lady Sheriff's Deputy standing security beside the ticket table. I looked at her and said, "No metal detectors? No wands? Nice."

She smiled and said, "I don't need a metal detector. I can tell if somebody is carrying or not."

My wife and I walked inside. My wife rolled her eyes and was like wth? We both laughed...

Funny. Apparently the CMP ain't that good at it.

I took the wife and kids. For what it is, its a nice little show. I was surprised that I didnt see any AR lowers or 80% lowers. There were a few uppers but I didnt check the prices. It was mostly small dealers and individuals with Collections they were trying to sell. I'm a wood and steel guy and there was plenty of that there. There was one 41mag Ruger blackhawk for sale but I'm not in the market for another blackhawk right now. One guy had a few S&W model 10s for around $350. He was negotiable on his prices. The kids each picked a new knife. I got the wife one of the Pakistanis Damascus ulu knife. The guy with the Damascus was very negotiable.

I would say it was more of a flea market gun show than a proper gun show. It was a fun way to kill an hour and see some guns I hadn't seen before.

I enjoyed looking at all those Damascus knives. They were beautiful, but I didn't buy one because I assumed they were cheap, made in China knives with acid etchings. I don't know much about Damascus. Maybe I was wrong. But, when I see a really nice looking knife and it's less than $50, I just assume it's garbage and keep walking.

Am I wrong?

Not weird at all. It has been the norm at every gun show I have attended for over 20 years. It is a combination of security precaution plus defense against those who want to film for anti-gun propaganda.

Thanks for posting this. I had no idea!

Will Sunday also be affected by the Gov Cooper mass gathering edict like Hickory ???

I have no idea if they are good quality or not. The guy said it was 1095 and 5n20 steel. Since its Pakistani its probably made out of 55 gal drums and recycled dog food cans. I've wasted more on less, but it made my wife smile.

Probably. His order about large public gatherings went into effect immediately.
