I'm needing help. The GF and I have decided to go to the Big Easy at the end of July for my birthday.

Since I’m semi travel stupid and never considered going down there until a few months ago, I’m looking at an AirBnB but not sure where I should be looking in what area.

So let’s say I’m stupid and need my hand held.

Used to do work down there many years ago. Stayed in LaPlace. Nice little place outside New Orleans and away from the craziness... Until you actually wanted the craziness, then it's a short trip to N'awlins.

I havent been post Katrina, but bourbon street was a party every single day of the week. Razoo's was a good time. Like said heat and humidity is bad.

Honestly, it’s for my birthday and I might come to regret saying this but I need to be around adult crazy to an extent lol

All I can recommend is a fancy restaurant if you want to splurge: Arnaud’s https://www.arnaudsrestaurant.com/menus/a-la-carte-dinner-menu/

Oh nice, thank you

New Orleans in July.. Not hot and humid enough for you in the carolinas huh?

Well since we aren’t going to Vegas for a video game convention, she wanted to go, I wouldn’t mind so I’ll deal with it lol

Bourbon street. I couldn’t think of the Main Street where everything went down lol.

Thank yall

Allegiant flies direct from Concord to New Orleans. Fares are cheap and the little airport is no nonsense.

Its about 13 hours...... From the piedmont. I enjoyed visiting a gator farm. A walkway above the water.....throwing them food to hear the jaws smack shut....its impressive and tasty.

Nawlin's end of July? Enjoy that armpit, lol... Seriously, it will be hot and wet, but fun. I haven't been in a while. No idea of the current situation. You don't want to be in the wrong place though and the difference is a street or two here and there.

Make sure to get some beignets but avoid that BS chicory coffee. It's crap. Cafe Du Monde is solid and a destination for the little French donuts of joy...
