Plated heavy subs for BLK in AR platform?

I'm wanting to load up a pile of 200 or 220gr subs for the AR platform BLK. Looks like they're a lil "proud" of the SMKs @~.35ea..
Tripped over some reasonably priced heavy plated bullets at Everglades. More like .20ea.
Any of you guys tried those? Results? Issues? Thanks.. :cool:
 
I bought some for the same exact reason but haven’t used any yet. I’m also curious if anyone else has used them.
 
I’ve used Palmetto Projectiles plated bullets in the past. Haven’t reloaded for the .300 blk out in several years though. The only issue, I had to flair out the case mouth with an expander die like the one linked below.

I saw RMR has some pulled SMK's in for .30ea. @1k.
That's almost reasonable @ todays prices. :cool:

@Average Joe - Those are very nice to have on such occasions..

I’ve been wanting to give these a try. But I haven’t had time to really reload in a few years.

Glad you asked because I thought they were Everglades but I just double checked and they are the 220gr Berry’s. I also have some Palmetto’s, haven’t loaded them either. I mainly shoot 300BLK supers.

I’ve had good luck with pulled bullets from RMR and American Reloading, I wouldn’t hesitate if they have what you want.

I've bought a pile of pulled bullets from Pat's and others in the past for "various current obsessions". I don't have any issue with using those RMR pulls outside of them being ~.15 cents per over the new plated. I've just never loaded plated before. And if those work out ok, they're only .20ea.
The AR platform BLK is for a very specific purpose and not somethin I shoot a lot of. But it sure is a hoot when I do!
So more "rounds per dollar" would make for mo' fun.. :D

@Average Joe - I just use what's necessary to get reliable function/accuracy in the AR.
The other BLKs get very light pistol bullets appropriate for the sub velocities. 🤠
 
Berry's are the exact bullets I use in sub 300blk. I don't remember what I paid for them, but that was for 1k, years ago. I don't shoot it that much, so still have a good 500 left.

Those 265s are really interesting, but could you actually get those to 1050fps from a 9" barrel?

My perfect subsonic coated load was with those. Palmetto Proj don't exist anymore, and they must have melted down the molds because no one else has them. I have a handful of those bullets I'm hoarding hoping I can compare them to someone else producing them.
