I just built my first Poly80 and figured I would share for anyone who may be interested. I purchased a kit through 80pbuilder for around $450 and had it shipped to my door and had it functional within a week after buying it. A lot of people think that building a Poly80 is only to get around the law or get an unregistered firearm to avoid any government hassle, however I believe that it is getting cheaper and cheaper to go this route and in the end you get more experience with the weapon you build. I also found that 80pbuilder is based in Charlotte and wanted to support local, not to mention they are the cheapest total build kits I could find without sourcing each part individually. My finished version is attached for anyone interested. I am not sure of the average break in period for a new Glock, but for my build it was around 150 rounds before it started cycling properly. During those first shots I could not even get more than 2 consecutive shots without a cycling issue or it not going into battery completely, as of now I have around 700 round through it and have had no cycling or battery issues since the initial break in.
