Smoking a chuck roast today to make poor mans burnt ends. This is one of my favorite things to smoke!

That brown sugar bourbon is good stuff. If Im not making my own mix, I like Grill Mates for pre mixed stuff.
Be sure and show us the finished product :D

I haven't tried this. Will you post more details? Also, where are you getting the rub? I'm in the Siler City area, not many stores carry decent selections.

I got the rub at walmart. Smoke at 250 until IT reaches around 165 (about 5hrs). Pull out of smoker, cut into 1''ish cubes, and put into a throw away pan. Coat with BBQ sauce of your choice, more of the rub used earlier, and toss the pieces around to evenly coat. Cover the pan with foil, and put back into smoker for about 2.5-3hrs.

I'll post more pics as the process goes along. I should be cubing it up around 4 or so. Stay tuned.....

She got to 165, and now we cube it up, put in the pan, add some sauce, and rub of your choice and give it a stir until all the chunks are coated. Foil over the top, and cya in 2.5-3hrs!

I believe Sam’s Club has a pretty good selection of those rubs.

Sounds great. I can't see your pics though.

I had to reboot my PC earlier due to that issue. Seeing all pics now.

Bingo!

Although I’d sauce them more. The burnt ends I’ve had were pretty sticky and gooey. And awesome. If those don’t work for you though, I’ll come take them off your hands.
haha! I actually did put more on them after the pic. They needed it :)
