Portable workbench for 80% builds

Considering dipping my hand into the 80% game however don't have a dedicated space with access to a workbench or vice.

Decided on the 5D Jig.... y'all think that a decent vice mounted to a portable workbench like this one from HF would be stable enough for the task?

I use one of these quite a bit around the house work. Home depot has the dewalt on sale for $69 and I'm loving this one! Rated to 1000 pounds, folds easy, and more clamping spots than you can shake a stick at.

Do you need the worksurface or is it just a place to hold the vise? If all you really need is the vise have you considered the time tested approach of a pipe welded to a truck wheel as a base and a vise mounted on top? If you want something more easily packed away you can mount a vise to a piece of square tubing to fit the receiver hitch on your truck.

many folks mount their vise to the dining room or kitchen table when their significant other isn’t around.
