I just called about two early Feb apps. Both are now riding the FBI train.

My 10/10/17 submission was approved Aug 17. Just over 10 months.

Everyone wish me luck. Ill be visiting @TARHEELSTATE on Thursday. Hopefully I won't spend any more money than I had already intended to spend picking up a crap ton of lowers.

I'd be happy if my first 3 were on the same timeline, as they were both Form 4 Trusts. That'd mean I'm half way there and would be pew pewing on Valentine's day!

I'm down to 3 in jail and 3 nowhere to be found or shipped from SiCo. I feel like I should start adding in some 30cal cans as I've drifted more towards SBRs than handguns as of late.

Yea I looked T the Rugged 762 today, as they just started a promo for 2 free muzzle devices and a free 5.56 end cap. So that'd be 3 total muzzle devices and the 5.56 end cap, which would be a good 5.56 setup.

Right until you shoot .308 through that 5.56 end cap... :D

(That photo is actually even worse than I described...it's a .308 round through a 5.56 can, not just end cap; tube was fine, but baffles and end cap destroyed; SiCo fixed it for the guy at $0 to him)

I dont know what happened with you guys, but i got my freebie can from SiCo about a month ago......

Rugged has an unconditional lifetime warranty and the Surge 7.62 is belt fed rated with no barrel restrictions... and I don't know that I agree with SiCo warrantying a can for owner stupidity. But the picture you posted is probably rare and they probably sell and extra 50 every time something like that happens just on good will alone.

SiShop Form 1 Service for an AR lower:

The warranty is for the first time the owner does something stupid, as far as I know.

I've taken advantage of it once.

AAC Element 2, purchased from Capital Armory in Dec 2017

Approved 10-24-2018
According to my dealer, IIRC, the form got kicked back in early October for correction.

Next up:
"Q" El Camino & AAC Ti-Rant 45
Check mailed 10-17-2018
Check cleared 10-25-2018

Form 4 Individual Paper received 10/22
Pending Status
ETA of 7 months to complete processing

@BigWaylon you cursed me with your Memorial Day timeframe...
Nah...it's simply the current time frame being reported. :p

Gah! I'm still waiting on two early Feb. apps!

Congrats, though.
When you call to get status, are they telling you they're still waiting on FBI background check?

Yep.

My 10/10/17 app was stuck in the FBI loop, until it was finally approved mid-August.

I'm not sure if I've read all of it, but once the first "FBI check" app was approved, I began to relax a little.

If you just read the last 2-3 pages, you'll see multiple people getting approvals within a day or three of contacting their reps.

K if you have had one approved in the last 30 days I was able to be transferred to the examiner that had 2 of my others and they used the prior approval to approve the other 2. That’s a lot of approvals

When I called back in August and found out one of mine was approved. When I mentioned that I had two other apps pending and asked the person on the phone about using that background check for those, she said that's not how it works. Each app had to go through the process.

Sounds like my mistake was not asking to speak to the examiner.

Dang x2!

I called and the girl on the phone told me who the examiner was that had the other two so I asked to be transferred to him and she did. His last name was Capps don’t remember his first and the stamps are in the safe. Anyway he answered the phone and gave him my s/n for the one approved and he check a couple things and said it was all good an he would use that approval for them that was a Friday and when I called Monday they we approved. Did the same thing with an SBR the examiner was a lady and I was transferred to her voice mail. I left all the info, she called me back and said it would be approved the next day and it was.

So I just saw where someone got a Form 1 approved in 13 days through Efile. I believe it was individual, not trust. But it was 13 days from submission, 10 from finger prints received. If that is truly the turn around time, I may have to just try it for shits and gigs.

EDIT: Decided the hell with it. Logged in, did a Form 1 as an individual. Took under 30 mins including me having to take a selfie, Google an OAL for the SBR, Google what to put in the "Title" field of the application since I wasn't using a trust (for those wondering, people have just used "Mr." and it has been approved, mine was as well.), and pay.

I will mail my fingerprints tomorrow with the cover sheet and we'll see how long it takes.

That's been going on since the F1 was added back. ~9-12 days on average. And sometimes they're being approved the day the prints are received, or the day after. For those, people seem to be mailing the prints in a couple days after submission.

Simply meaning that when you mail the prints doesn't impact the approval time. I read somewhere that it was almost automated now. As soon as the FP cards are received, they simply check a box that indicates they were sent, without actually doing a dang thing with them.

Welp, maybe mine will be approved the week after Thanksgiving!

Edit. I also wonder if they are being approved that quickly for Trusts?

Yes. Doesn't seem to matter if it's individual or entity.

If anyone is wondering about when EFORM4's will be available again, here is the response from Lee Alston with ATF:

Hi Scott:

I wish I could say. The bureau is migrating all its IT system to the “cloud”. We are not allowed to do any further development work until after that migrations takes place. The vendor responsible for the migration has not provide a schedule yet, but I suspect it will be well into the first of the year.

We learned a lot form the Form 1 that was recently returned to production. So we hope that the Form 4 will be better with what we learned and with functionality that will be provided by the “cloud”

Thanks for inquiring.

Lee

That's still good news that they're working to get it back in. As soon as they figure out to receive and store prints so you only have to do it one time, then they'll be colomg with gas.
