Post-41F NFA Stamp Tracking thread

Question then:

If I've paid, and I have, my $200 for the NFA tax stamp, and I'm no receiving the services I've paid for, who do I sue to receive the service/product(tax stamp)?
I was already thinking how I could reduce my annual tax bill appropriately for the number of days the government has been shut down.

Rugged Obsidian 9
Form 4 Individual
Ordered from @TARHEELSTATE 3/20/2018 :)
Check cashed 3/27/2018 :):)
Got the notification from @TARHEELSTATE that my stamp's approved.
Picking up my first can on Saturday.:):):)
So approved before the shutdown, and just now getting to dealer. Uggh. (Be sure to post the approval date from the form if you remember...I’m assuming it’s prior to Christmas)

Sounds like electronic F3s are pouring in. And EForm 1s are being approved.

Anyone got a recently approved form and they are willing to share part of their permit number with me? I think one of my Form 1s is about to be done, it has a permit number in Eforms.

I did see Hansohn Brothers (dealer in VA) post up they began receiving approved F4s yesterday...or maybe it was Wednesday.

UPDATE:

Form 1, Trust, one RP, submitted via Eforms:
Submitted: 12/20/18 (right before shutdown)
Approved: 2/8/19

Total days: 50.
Total days less government shutdown: 16 days
(Gov shutdown was 34 days, 21 hours).

I submitted my form 1 through silencershop, signed the e-documents for the trust on 11-16-18... I got a call from them about 3 weeks ago saying they were switching over to something with their computers/software I cant fully remember what he said. Anyways im still waiting.

The issue was the ATF was not going to allow them to attest on anyone's behalf one of the questions that is required for submission. As such, SiShop is retooling their system and setting it up where when you go through them, you check one more box when you docusign. I have a pending form 1 through them as well and I too am waiting on their revised docusign procedure to get it completed.

Short version:

SS worked with ATF for eform uploads - got the OK
SS sent a ton in - ATF freaked and said the process was bad
SS updated process - ATF said they'd check and approve
Shutdown Happened - and since no updates from ATF on the approval

If you stick it out SS is giving a swag bag and gift cert for those who wait - full refunds for those who don't.

Yeah, as I understand it SS hasn’t successfully filed a single Form 1 at this point. They are offering a $75 credit for those in the holding pattern.

I just can’t imagine paying them for something you can basically do for free. ;)

(Not to mention the multiple months delay you’ve gone through at this point)

Interesting - I was told $100 when they called me back in December - I had gift certs from ordering suppressors from them - which basically gave me a free stamp, that's the only reason I used them for the form 1

Omg...of all the time I finally decide to do a form 1 and I go through what I thought was going to be easy what with going with silencershop....

Yea I remember him talking about a swag bag and that one box with the docusign that Ill have to eventually check off.

Thanks for the info guys.

Right there with you man - my B&T TP9 is sitting here waiting for it's stock and front grip, and it's killing me when others were getting approved in a couple of weeks - now I'm at the point of just waiting so I can get the gift cert. but really thinking of starting another eform to SBR something else while I wait.

Yea Ive been thinking in the meantime to do another form 1 also for a different cal suppressor. Im waiting on the 7.62 now. I bought the single shot trust thing from silencershop. If I were to go through the eforms whats the best route to set up a trust that way?

The problem with the SiShop trust is that they want you to buy the tax stamp through them and submit through them as well. The unlimited SiShop Trust is only for Form 4 I believe, so if you want to Form 1 and build a can, you can do your own trust through Quicken's Will Maker (what I did several years ago) and then submit a Form 1 through eforms (which would likely have a 15-20 day wait time right now, maybe longer with the shut down). Or you buy through SiShop another Form 1 service and enter the information.

If it were me, I'd do the Quickens Willmaker route. You get a year access to Nolo, which has the Revocable Living Trust template. Use it to generate the Trust, get it notarized (one time), make yourself the only initial responsible party, and then use it for your future Form 1s.

Ahh ok. Yea I do have a few suppressors ive got with a trust I made using Quicken Willmaker, to do form 4's, I never did a form 1 though. Thats back before they had the eforms. I liked how easy silencershop makes it though what with the kiosk and all. If I do ever go through eforms thats what Ill do.

Yea that would be a quick route to approval as long as you only have 1 RP in your trust. I did on my one listed above and you see it'd have been like 2 weeks without the government shut down.

Had an approved form 4 arrive yesterday that was submitted 6/1/2017 and was stuck in the black hole of the FBI Background check. Approved Feb 4th 2019.

Crazy.

Still waiting on my UPin paperwork so I hopefully will not have to deal with that (as bad) moving forward.

My two Jan. '18 apps were approved 2/24/19. These were the ones in the holding pattern that's known as the FBI background check sinkhole.

I called my rep last December, filled out the privacy form, but never heard anything before the shutdown. I emailed my rep again a couple of weeks ago and only received the auto response. I was going to wait to call the field office after I called ATF again. So, I called today. Both approved.

I still have two apps that are just "pending."

I would ask for your examiner on one of the pending apps and ask if they can apply one of your approved checks towards the pendings...

Thanks for that info. I'm on the phone with them now. ETA: On hold...

If I have two apps pending and they are months apart, would they most likely have different examiners? Meaning, I would have to speak with two different people to ask for this?

I feel like I've been cock blocked.

The lady on the phone wanted to know why I wanted to speak to the examiner. I mentioned my passing bgc and wanted it utilized for my other pending apps. She said they can't do that, so I pressed.

She said my apps were too far apart and they don't group apps like that. Because two apps were from Jan 18 and the next closest one was from Sep 18, they were too far apart.

She said avg ATF processing time was 9mths, so the app wasn't even ready for the bgc.

That’s bullshit. Call back and ask for your examiner - you do not have to have a reason. Most of them are very helpful and want you to have your stamp as bad as you do. Explain to your examiner your frustration with the background check process and where you are at and I would say you have a good chance of them being willing to help you. My examiner explicitly told me she could apply any recent (within 30 days) background check to a pending stamp.

At what point is an examiner assigned to the app? That was the first thing out of this lady's mouth, that the Sept app probably doesn't have an examiner yet because of their average processing time.

If it’s from September it’s been assigned. To answer your other question my last three were about a week apart and all had different examiners.

I have another from either late Nov or early Dec. If I call about it and it's pending, it's that an indicator an examiner had been assigned or just that it's in the system?

My buddy mailed a F4 on 11/24/2017 and it was approved on 1/29/2019, he was stuck in BGC hell for months!

I've got two F4's pending at the moment, they're at 4 months now, submitted another last week. Honestly at my age I don't feel like dealing with the wait any more which will influence any future purchases.

I’m with you on this! I have three pending and as much as I want another M16 and a belt feed I think I’m done with the BS! Plus Scott going to give up his SC SOT has left me dejected and mad at the world :(

So what are the latest F4s being approved? @TARHEELSTATE, what are you seeing? I am expecting approval for my 3 SiCo cans any time, as I am sure @BigWaylon is as well.

I had my checks cashed on 7/18, which by my math was roughly 228 days ago. Less the 34 days for government shut down, and I am at 191 days. NFATracker.com says F4 Trust paper filing is around 217 days right now from check cashing to approval, then another 11 days for dealer receipt. But that should include the government shutdown, which is a total of 228. So by that math, mine should be approved already and be at my dealer this week.

Most everything I’m seen on ARF is May ‘18 check cashings being approved.

I have 5 in jail and one to be sent from sico.

Maxim 9
Saker 556 DT
Octane 9
2- octane 45k

I probably should do another 1-2 with the wait times so I at least get a few a year .
