I want to destroy and rebuild our powder room: new tile, take out the old POS vanity and put in a pedestal sink, new light, new paint. Anyone in the Durham area who has done this and wants to make a few bucks and can help/direct/supervise? I will be taking this on in the summer. Caveat: I know how to hold a hammer and screw driver, but that's about it.

Ha ha. I remember my wife wanting to do some simple modification to the small powder room. It turned into, new flooring, new plumbing fixtures, a new vanity, new wall paper, a rewire job, new light fixtures, a new ceiling, and cutting part of (a notch) and doubling up the thickness of a floor joist underneath a bath tub upstairs (yikes) to run the fan exhaust.

Good luck.

Hit me up in the summer when you are getting ready and I may be able to assist...

I just had to replace some sub floor in my daughters bathroom. Had vinyl floor and went back with tile. Was not that hard, just take your time.
