As some of you may know my dad passed away in October, I've been the primary caregiver for my mother ever since and her condition has been steadily going downhill. She had a fall a little less than a week ago and has been recovering slowly but this morning she was unable to get out of bed underneath her own power and is on her way to the emergency room. She has a medical condition called HSP which is paralyzing from the waist down along with some other medical complications. We are hoping that a social worker will get called in and we will be able to get her some in-home help. With the way current Insurance works and the flawed system that it is it is pretty much the only way we will be able to get her some in-home help. at this point in time I'm asking for prayer that God's will be done and his hand placed upon her in this situation.

Lord, bless this family, and hear them in their time of need.

You are in my prayers brother

She's got 'em Russell. You and your family as well.

Prayers sent!

Thoughts and prayers, Russell.

She has a broken rib (number 7), along with pain in her legs and hip. We're waiting on a social worker to come by, pray that we can get in somewhere for rehab

Well, we got her there, but she isn't being super responsive. Last night she was convinced that the pill lady didn't give her her diazepam (for her leg spasms), I was there and I know that she took them. She is complaining of pain in her rib area (of course it's broken) and she is upset because they are doing rehab with her. She simply doesn't understand that they are trying to get her stronger so she can get home. Please continue to keep her in your prayers.

Will do, Russell. Thanks for the update, and tell your mom we're thinking of her.

It can be both a struggle and a blessing caring for the older members of your family. It's always hard watching the ones we love go through this stage of their life.

We will be praying you and your mother.

Prayin for you and your family. Hope your mom is a little more responsive to treatment. I am sure it isn't easy for any of you.
