my wife is a little over 38 weeks pregnant and we had a doctor's appointment today. While the baby is healthy and mama is healthy we did not get the best news. Right now the baby is transverse, which means that the baby is sitting side to side and is not in the head down position. They have given us a couple options and have basically told us the way things are going to go. We are going to go to the doctor on Tuesday and if the baby has not turned head down on its own by then they are going to set up an appointment to try to turn the baby. And then if they can turn the baby they will immediately induce labor. The doctor did say that the odds of being able to turn the baby are good because of his position that the baby is in, but guys any extra prayers at this point in time would really be appreciated. apparently this procedure is very painful so any extra prayers would truly be appreciated. she has given birth to two beautiful babies naturally and we would really like to bring the third one home the same way.

Mother, child and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Mom, Dad and Baby are in my prayers.

Based on experience, the Lord works in mysterious ways. I had the same experience with my first. I will never forget the night he turned himself. I saw fists, elbows and butt move all around my swollen belly. We had normal delivery 8 days later.

Prayers up Russell.

Glad to help. Just tell the little guy to start swimming and he will turn things around!

Y'all have our prayers and well wishes Russell.

Looking forward to pictures of our newest member!

I will post some pictures as soon as he or she arrives, we decided to let it be a suprise and didnt find out what its going to be. She will be getting induced on friday, so if it goes like the last one pictures will be up that afternoon.

Prayers up. Been there. Life it what happens while we are making other plans.
Our daughter was breach at my wife's Friday AM appt (~1 week from due date). They scheduled a C- Section for the following Wednesday since my wife was only 1cm. Our daughter had other ideas. By 4AM Saturday, we were in Mass General ER and my wife was 7cm, contractions every 6 minute.
Emergency c-section completed at 5:02. We still tell our daughter, now 21, that she wanted to hit the ground running.

Your baby might change your plans. :D
Best wishes to the mom and baby.

You could do like we did on the farm with the cows.
Once in a while the calf would come out butt first. Not good. So we'd get the plastic logging chains, wrap them around the hind-quarters of the calf and pull like hell.
I imagine they have better methods for people-babies. ;)

Thoughts and prayers. Hope you won't need the chains!
