I occasionally donate furniture/used items to a Charlotte area foster children group on Facebook and saw this disheartening post today.

A local foster family that just adopted two children were leaving WalMart when a van accelerated and struck the family at high speed. The mother turned to protect the boy who suffered a concussion, and the girl in the stroller suffered a head fracture and subsequent seizure. While the father was unharmed, the mother's injuries were too severe to overcome, and she passed away after suffering a stroke upon amputation of her leg and a myriad of internal injuries.

Please keep this family in your thoughts this holiday, and hug your loved ones tight.

Oh my Lord! This is horrid.
If I was that husband it’d eat at me every day I didn’t do something to save mine/stop it.
