No thanks, I know how to cook..... Pressure or slow cookers just don't trip my trigger. I think it's a consistence issue...

I'm 63 years old. I've been cooking all of my adult life, and am a fairly decent cook. My wife likes the fact that I like to cook.
Having said all of that, I have an old style pressure cooker that I've had for at least 30 years, and love it. For some limited things.
It'll work on an electric, gas, or wood fired stove.

I've never even tried one of these new electric programmable pressure cookers.
I imagine that they are nice, once you learn all of the ins and outs of using them.
Personally, I don't either need or want one.

A much loved nephew recently got married to a very lovely woman.
As a wedding gift, I bought them a very high end electric programmable pressure cooker.
They are young enough and smart enough to learn how to use it to its potential.

Apparently, the years teach some how to thoroughly piss on another's corn flakes.

Thank you for the vid, @specops56. I can add this to my aresenal of Instantpot recipes. Instant pot...like instant gratification. You know, the stuff of real men. No need to let it simmer. It will just become bitter.

I bern cooking my whole life too... im old school cast iron skillet guy... but ill admit i really like the new electric pressure cookers! Dry bean to eating a pot of beans in 2 hours that would have taken me 3 days to prepare.. one night to soak, cook next day.. simmering for hours... then eat the third day...cause after a good pot of beans sits fir 24 hours... its the best...these new cookers take gramma's old timey pressure cooking to a modern "just as good"level
