Tired of renting. Need something with enough poop to wash siding, deck and maybe boost pressure in soaker hoses. Any reviews?

I got one from sears that has 2600psi. It has the foaming car wash nozzle. a light duty, med duty and high press nozzle. Better not hit skin with the high press nozzle. I am almost recovered from the gash it left in my hand while pressure washing my mower deck. With all those nozzles I have used it to do all the things you mentioned and more. Forget what it costed. It is a few years old.

Yep, my fil has one, and I've used it a few times a year for about three years now, and it has been very reliable

the 3100 from Lowes doe really well for what it is, it's not close to the one i have from Northern Tool but it's not suppose to be. i wash cars, trucks and siding with it and it does fine. btw the one fro Northern tool cost nearly 5 times as much

Stihl released a new line of pressure washers just over a year ago, ranging from 2500 to 4200 psi. The pumps have brass manifolds, ss valves, and ceramic coated pistons. All models are kohler engines with low oil shutdown and auto fuel shutoff to the carb. Nice foldable frame with 2 point holder for the spray gun and a no kink hose. Go check one out at your local dealer.
Looks nice! Will this one survive a winter of non-use? Those dang Troy Bilt ones from Lowe's keep dying on me after a winter in storage. Doesn't matter if I drain all the fuel out or use a stabilizer, each spring I have to get the guys at the shop to fix it!

It should as long as you run premium non ethanol gas. I'll also use an additive made for ethanol when I put my 4 cycle equipment up for the winter. Or I'll buy a 5 gallon pale of sunoco non ethanol 95 octane to run through everything. You can find it at your local drag strip or speed shop.
In season I burn through some 2 cycle fuel, so I mix my own with non ethanol 93 octane gas at a local pump. Then, right before I plan to store my 2 cycle equipment at the end of the season, I run the premixed canned fuel through them all. You can find it at most outdoor power equipment dealers. The 2 cycle canned fuel comes in quarts or gallons made by Stihl, echo, husqvarna, vp racing fuels, tru fuel, to name a few. If you don't use much 2 stroke fuel, I would run the premixed fuel year round.

+ 1 on ethanol free/ premixes and high grades fuel. Ethanol eats at rubber if it sits. All I use it in all small engines now. I’ve had a troybuilt (B&S) from Lowes for about 7 years now. HVe never had a problem with the engine. I hate PMCS bit it def pays off. The pumps in most non-pressure washers are the weak links. The duty cycles are pretty low. Replaced it once so far ~ 3 years ago. 10 min sub $100 job. Read instructions and be religious about order of operations. Grease those o rings. Hook water up and bleed the lines of air before cranking. Don’t let pump sit more that 2 or 3 mins before relieving the pressure on it. Only use appropriate detergents made for PW use. Drain lines and pump (tilt forward) every time. I haven’t used pump saver during the winter
