Large primer has been perfect, but small primer sets high. Photo shows one as set, other shows one with the primer doo-dad unscrewed about half a turn so it sits high. I do not see that this is the correct way to adjust seating depth, in fact I see no provision for adjusting seating depth.

Am I missing something?

The co-ax is junk I tell ya. Send me your address and I'll come take it to the junk yard for ya.

Sorry I have no idea because I don't own one yet. I needs to remedy that.

mckenziedrums should be along shortly.

Yea not sure what's going on there unless the spring is binding or the small primer seater is out of spec somehow. If you want to try it on my press sometime you're welcome to

The tools are preset. Check and make sure it's screwed in all the way. Also make sure you are using the right rim holders.

Thanks guys, sent them an email. Hadn't thought about flipping the shell holder thingies so will try that, and if that doesn't work I may take mckenziedrums up on his offer.

FatboyFlash you might be able to get one cheap at Cabelas, was just there and it looks like someone opened up the one on the shelf and stole the small parts.

I'll go by tomorrow. Our office is about 3 miles away. Thanks.

As long as you're going, take a minute to fondle the Turnbull case colored Winchester 94 back in the gun room.

I've never used the priming system on my co-ax. I hand prime everything now. I can get a better feel with the hand primer than on any press mounted priming system I've used so far. Just my 2¢

All the parts were there and they would not budge on the price. I just can't justify $300 for a single stage press when I only load 10 rounds a year of 30-06.

Tailhunter when using my RCBS hand primer I can feel the primer going into the case. I can also feel if it's going in too far or not far enough. Kinda hard to explain, but it just feels like I have more control than using a press mounted system if that makes any sense.

Sorry about that, I looked in the bos and didn't see the small parts envelope. And if you want to load a years supply of 30-06 on one feel free to swing by my place.

Thanks. I may take you up on that one day.

So the response from Forster was to back it out until it works, they don't think it'll wear the threads in any meaningful way, and if something does go wrong they'll take care of it.

so I'm gonna compare mine with mckenziedrums and see if they are the same.

use some form of shim to support the distance that it has to be moved.

But where to shim? Can't shim the priming mechanism up because it doesn't have a decent shoulder, suppose I could cut a disc from shim stock and drop it on top of the primer punch.

The other thing he said said was that there is a lot varience in brass that affects this, so I'm going to test a dozen different brands.
