What tools do y'all keep in your pack or range bag for a tool kit? All I really have is a set of allen keys to fit scope rings/mounts and a multi-tool.

Do you keep any other 'must have' tools handy? Specifically during a competition or field use?

Like you I keep a set of metric and english allen wrenches..just the smaller ones..and a leatherman. Also some of the common star type allen wrenches.
I keep a small straight and phillps head screwdrivers, (a tad bigger than jewelers type..Klein brand..good ones) some of the pistol sight screws are really tiny and easy to bugger.
Quality lens cloth from my Serengeti sunglasses.
Small tube of blue locktite.
Tiny-micro needlenose pliers.
Tiny magnet dish.
Tiny flashlite..(1 aaa battery)
T-handle .22 caliber cleaning rod with 2 extensions. (ram-rod)
Glock front sight wrench
A quarter, dime, and a nickle.
Sharpie.
Heavy duty band aids.
And of course the usual cleaning stuff..tips that fit the .22 rods, patches, oil, clp, rags, silicone cloth, etc.
I can fit all of this in a medium range bag as well as 3 handguns, some ammo, eye and ears, small staple gun, masking tape, spare mags for all my usual's and 2 handgun bench mats.

I leave the phone at the house...no cell service anyway.

This gets me by real well. The secret is keep everything tiny. I'm not gonna be rebuilding a 350 v8 out there ya-know.

Sorry Tim I know you're looking for more PRS specific stuff, but not much I haven't been able to do with my little kit right there. Hope some of it can transfer over.

Not PRS specific, but I haul the following around in my shooting cart for AR service rifle:
  • bolt rebuild parts (soon to be a spare bolt & carrier)
  • multi-tool
  • multi-bit screwdriver
  • ruptered case extractor
  • grease/lubricant
  • cart rain cover
  • poncho
  • plastic bags (keeps scorecards dry)
  • large 12" zip ties
  • duct tape
  • spare pens
  • spare ear pro (foamies)
  • blinders for shooting glasses
  • spare batteries for optics

Any spares for parts that break or wear - firing pins, extractors. Entire AR bolt (not carrier)
Any specific tools for the rifle or sights or chassis (definitely AR sight tool)
Extra fiber for front pistol sights (not for PRS, I know)
bore snakes for relevant calibers, and small CLP bottle
A partial (smaller than new) roll of dog poop bags. 1001 uses, but often for brass pickup
1 med to large garbage bag. mostly as a rain cover just in case
I have small and med sized punch "bits" for a hex handle that go in the handle with some other bits (all Brownells)
