Looks like 2018 could be a good year for MP5 clones.

Same as @HMP ... I'd like one, but need to know if it's attainable or if it's going to cost a kidney.

All these clones are 1600+ it seems like. If I'm buying a knock off, I dont expect to pay almost the same amount as what is being copied.

If PSA came in at a grand...they'd sell like crazy (as long as they worked ha)

If I could buy a true HK for $1600 I would buy as many of them as I could. The HK SP5K is $2500. You can't find a 80's style MP5 for less than $4000. I have been very tempted by the MKE Zenith clones because they are at least licensed clones being made on HK equipment. They can be had for around $1600 up to $2000 with a brace. For me to look at the PSA it would have to be in the $1000 range. They have had too many issues with AR9s & AR10s to pay anything close to $1600.

The CIO (I think that was his title) posted prices between $800-1,000. There is a screen grab floating around

I think that is the price point that they would have to hit to get he interested. The price of the PTR makes it a non-starter for me.

Keep shopping. I know of a certain vendor who is much lower than that ;)

Do tell. When people had them in stock the lowest I saw was $2000 give or take. Honestly the for me the SP5K is not my ideal configuration which is why I did not buy one.

Holler at @knifeman32

Keeping in mind that its a legit HK product, its not less than the PTR, but the 2500$, or 3k, as one quoted me, would leave you some extra funds for braces and ammo

Thanks

What is the E and F for on the safety? I assume F is for Fire, but E?

Late 2018 is such a long time away from now, wish we had some info on pricing at least

SEF
Used on the original MP5's, and still comes standard on most. Identified by an S-E-F pattern
(the initials of safe, semi-automatic, and full automatic in German), indentations around the safety lever, and finger grooves on the grip.

Thank you
Makes them a little less appealing, I know they are going for clone accuracy, but to have an option which doesnt work is lame, i my opinion

They already ruined this with those pictures of cooked welds. They’re just disguising disappointment

The PTR brand might be more expensive but they’ve got experience with the system.
