I'm curious as to the experienced accuracy of both the SS and nitride barrels. I built a Savage 10 "long range" gun a couple years ago but just can't get into it. The Savage is accurate as hell but I've been itching for an AR10. These PSA PA10s are insanely cheap right now.

Some of you that have these please post up your real world DOPE.

I forget what ap I used, but when I got mine (nitride barrel), I calculated the holdover @ 30 yards with my scope offset for a 100 yard zero. After dialing in the scope I decided to give it a whirl at 100. I really had to thread the needle thru the woods to see my target. I was fairly awkwardly resting on my deck rail so, I did not have high hopes. It printed a pretty 3" group right in the middle. I immediately cobbled together a shooting bench of sorts and shot it again in a rest. 3/4" with federal fusion ammo. I am pleased.

Been drooling over these for weeks. I've been wondering about the accuracy myself, and appreciate you posting. Do you know the weight of this rifle? PSA's specs don't say if I remember right.
I just hung mine from a scale... 12 1/2 lbs with scope and harris bipod

Took it out last week to fnd out if it will cloverleaf at 50 ~ 60 and it was a struggle.

Made some adjustments and remounted the scope and I'm pleased with the results.

1) Perfecta 147 gr
2) Winchester 168 gr
3) Federal soft point 180 gr

Started rezero with Winchester, get it on paper and aim 2" low gave bullseye.

Next the Fed 180 and bullseye ,think 2nd rd went 4 O'clock bulls with the other 3 at high 1 O'clock. loaded 5 more and landed/grouped 2nd ring 1 O'clock.

Next , loaded 5 more Winchesters and let go with a 2" hold under and bullseye.

Next, loaded 5 Perfectas with a 2" hold under and the 1st rd landed 2" low & 2" right which surprised me. The next 4 rds 2" Left of bulls ( elevation no adjustment) and loose bulls.

Left the glass zeroed for the 180 @ 60 yds and zero for Winchester 168 is 2" hold under, leaving Perfecta adjust 2" left and get loose pattern at 60.

I am happy with this because clover-leafing @ 60 with Winchester and Federal should lend itself to MOA.

Hope to test mine out Tuesday. I just got it and cleaned and oiled everything(came bone dry) mounted the optics and bore sighted them.

I hope she does good.

Nice pics!

Mine also came bone dry, as in absolutely no lube whatsoever.

I still have yet to mount a scope on mine, but did pick up some PMAG M118 mags for it.

For any ave Joe or Common Peasant ( such as myself ) on the fence with PSA's AR10 package , as to how it groups and if you should allocate an extra $80 dollars you don't have to take a chance ,,

It shoots MOA.

I changed the scope on mine again and rezeroed it.
I also made a few other changes to get a better fit, of which I'm still working on, but

Once I figured out what was going on the last 4 shots were bulls with the fourth being run as a single shot because one round was left in the box.

I shot it off a bag that was a bit low, no bench rest, running 180gr Federal.

Dont expect those groups with mil spec trigger though. I have a cmc 3.5lb in mine

My Diamond Back AR10 shoots ~.600" all day long!

After I swapped out their parts for...

- Gieselle trigger
- Ballistic Advantage Barrel
- Adjustable gas block
- Grip
- Stock.....

Thats awesome grouping. A lot of bolt gun guys (i have bolt gun friends) that would get rid of a gun that shoots that bad. One of which builds his own bolt rifles, has a 300win that shoots .5 at 500 yards or so... but for a semi auto 308, .6 or less is good enough to kill any medium/large sized game... or human for a long ways out if you wanted too.

Shoot good ammo, and do your part and you're almost guaranteed HALF moa.

My AR10, federal match 175gr will do under .5" at 100 yards, 5 rounds.

Cheap ammo? That's Rich as I have also run the following;

Winchester Match .308 Winchester 168-Grain Centerfire Rifle Ammunition $39.99

http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/win...chester-168-grain-centerfire-rifle-ammunition

and the Cheap stuff runs better.

Federal Power-Shok Ammunition 308 Winchester 180 Grain Soft Point $17.41

Also
With the exception of a Hammer Spring, my rig is "OEM Stock."

I am pleased with mine. I got the 18" stainless barrel, and a billet lower. So far, I've shot some nice groups with it, but the factory trigger in the lower is terrible. Last week I put a CMC 3.5lb single stage in it, but I have yet to test it at the range.

Caldwell bipod, Bushnell Tactical 10X scope. So far, I've shot the best groups with Privi Match 308.

The bad trigger has caused me to flinch some the more I've shot it, so I'm hoping the CMC trigger solves that issue and I can tighten up my groups significantly. Also plan to start hand loading for it in the near future.

Installed the CMC trigger and took mine out this weekend for the first range trip. The only ammo I had was surplus .308 and I was getting fist sized groups with it at 100 yds. Ran into a major fail with my hand loads so wasn't able to try those out. I'm confident that even my shaky half-blind self can make it shoot straight with some decent ammo.

Well, y'all talked me into one these. I have a RR AR10 that I don't shoot a lot, but I'm a sucker for a deal. What I can't figure is the complete rifle sells for $699, but I ordered what looks to be the same complete upper and lower for $199 & $399 = $598. Oh well, I have a 2.5x10 Trijicon scope I was gonna sell, I'll stick it on this. Be a good deer slayer.

If the basic model is still at $500 when I get my tiny Xmas bonus I will be buying one. I have always wanted a AR10 and I "need" a big boy caliber semi auto :)

I've bought the 18" stainless mid-length upper and am waiting on the lower with SSE-A trigger to go on sale (maybe Black Friday) to complete the thing. I'll post up some DOPE when available.

I changed out my barrel with a 20" stainless heavy barrel. First three rounds through the rifle were all touching. 168gr Federal Match SMK.

I sold the barrel that came on the PSA10 for 80 and got the 20" SS for $90 on sale.. pretty good trade for the accuracy this thing is putting out. Cant wait to find a good handload.

Decided to load up 10 rounds today. Lake City brass, once fired. Didn't trim, but sized it, 168gr Hornady match with 42gr of varget. Seated at 2.800. bingo. I think I'll be sticking with this load. I got in a hurry to get inside and eat dinner, will work on shrinking groups later.
These are two 5 round groups.

Bottom right group, far right roubd was my last after rounds 2,3&4 in the same hole. Really urrked me to have pulled it. Oh well. Still a shooter!

I remember when that deal went by- I was so tempted- but I've already got a DPMS LR308 which is pretty accurate.

another 5 round group with my handloads Incase anyone was doubting the PSA stuff. This is with a cmc 3.5 trigger, putting a geiselle sd-e in it tomorrow and shooting hopefully.

Nice group! I still haven't taken mine out yet. I was waiting, hoping SWFA would have the same 20% Black Friday sale on their FFP 3-15x40 they had last year when I stumbled upon a great deal on a Sig Talon 4 6-24x50. I'll be pulling the trigger on 20 MOA rings today and hoping they'll be here in time to mount the scope Thanksgiving. I'll add a muzzle brake to get me back on target quick enough to see hits and it should be ready.

Speaking of trigger, the stock trigger is a little bit rough to say the least. It's too soon to say whether it's good enough to work with or whether I'll be swapping that out also.

Thanks @jmccracken1214, and please update us with the results of the Geissele and whether the CMC might show up in the classifieds.

The cmc sold on here a few days ago

I may get one.... Can't decide if I should get the 308 for cheap ammo or go with the 6.5C for longer ranges.... Probably going with the 308 if I get one..... Maybe... Sort of... I might..... Lol
